Greetings...

Today I got NEX racing series coilover kit (with shocks) installed on my RSX-S. They are very good quality and the ride feels much nicer but after inspecting the box that contained my old parts, I noticed that the coilover kit was meant for the 2001 Civic. If they fit, are they going to be ok? Or is this going to be a problem in the future? They told me that I should go get my alignment done and that they were 99% sure it would be unaligned. Sure enough it was. Its really off... I launch and my car wants to go side to side really fast > I have to decellerate immediately. That only happened once but the steering is much much much different now. It seems to have forced feedback now like my PS2 steering wheel for GT3. Feels a little like I have less power steering. Although I know this is good/normal, the side to side thing scared me (which im hoping alignment will fix). There also seems to be a few little squeaks every now and then and an occasional rattle (like change in your pocket) on the passenger/front. Would any suspension guru's happen to be able to enlighten me? Thanks in advance!!!!

Hey Morgan, thats sweet! I don't think the coilovers matter cuz the GC are for the 2001 civics also and there pretty much the same set up. I was wondering where you got the shocks from and how much?

Here I am thinking I was actually getting close to you in mods and you get all these new toys  Gotta give props man....you cars tite

It was 1,000 installed. The shocks came with the coilover kit. Going to do the alignment today. I will try and get pics when they have the car jacked up!

if i were you...i'd wait about 2 weeks for the springs to settle in...that way, you won't have to do the alignment after they settle in.

I installed mine a week ago, and had Acura do an alignment, I wouldn't drive to much without the alignment as your going to toast your tie rod ends, and prob your tires.

The big problem with this is that the tie rod end is not long enough, there are only about 5-6 threads holding the tie rod onto the control arm. Not good.

I need to find someone to build me longer tie rods.

you replied to a post that was made in 2001. I doubt they're holding their breath.
