Hey guys. I just helped my friend install in RSX-R headlamps onto his Type-S, and everything fit fine EXCEPT for the passenger side headlamp. The problem is that there are 4 screws total holding it in, and the screw that connects to the fender is off by a few centimeters, so you can't really screw that one back in. With the rest of the screws set in and the fender screw off, the headlight doesn't sit as flush as the driver side. There is about a little less then a 1/4 of an inch gap.
We also tried screwing the fender screw in, but then the rest of the other 3 holes won't line up, BUT the headlight sits flush and correct.
It seems like something is wrong w/ the brackets on the headlamp, so all the holes don't match up.
Does anyone have a solution or fix for why it is like that?
**Will try and post up pics so you all can see what i'm saying.**
Thanks rsx-heads!

make sure bracket on the bottom of the light is lined up properly, maybe take it out and just double check it

Ya the headlights are JDM non-hid headlights. We checked, doubled-checked, triple-checked....you get the point. One of the brackets or something just isn't lining up correct, but i'll try to get some pics so you guys can actually see it.
Thanks anyways...happy turkey day

try comparing the JDM headlight to the USDM one and then do some tweaking

As far as i know...my friend purchased it from a guy not a shop. But i'll talk to him and see what he wants to do about it. But honestly...the gap COULD be worse...hahah.

Did you try having one person push in the headlight while the other person put the bolts back in? I had a similar issue where the holes didn't seem to line up but I tried screwing the bolts in anyway and they went in.

They are DIY? its possible the plastic housing on the headlight could be warped.

The headlights aren't DIY..they are real deal jdm R headlights.
etong - ya...we had 2 people pull and then 1 person put the screws in and tried all different types of angles and tried putting screws in different holes...but no luck

I dunno about cost....does that matter? They are real deal, they have been compared before w/ some other real JDM headlights and its all the same.
Any other ideas??

Did you try putting the screw that you cant get in first? It may have to be fitted in that way.

Ya...we put the fender screw in first, but then none of the other screws/holes lined up and were off by a few cm to fit.
not real JDM, jdm knockoffs, the real jdms should fit in perfectly no gaps whatsoever, how much did u pay for them, if not near 500 bucks they are not real

This post was just to see if someone had a technical aspect as to how to fix it or modify something to make it sit a bit more flush.

make sure all the plastic tabs are going into their respective slots on the frame of teh car. also, at the top mounting point you will see markings that are alingment marks. with mine, i can unscrew that a little and push it or pull it out a little, i think you are supposed to be able to adjust it. try this order:side to fender-bottom bracket to frame-then push the top part of the light till it meets up-then the top side screw. BTW the last one thats on top at the fender doesnt do much since it screws into plastic, mine doesnt even get tight.

Remember that bracket that you transferred from your original headlamp to the JDM one? That is the one. Where I circled, towards the front corner, there are 3 holes, the screw goes into the middle one and the notch on the lamp goes into the one furthest to the front, leaving one hole empty.
