Hey, fellow base owners:
As I am sure you have all noticed, our Base Model forum has been returned to us. I would like to thank Chris (K20A2, founder) for seeing things our way and making this possible. I would also like to thank everyone that jumped onto the December Forum Changes thread and helped us make our case to get it back.
Now there is a slight issue with the whole thing. When the Type S and Base forums were combined into the Performance forum all of the threads in each were moved to the Performance forum. So now our once thriving Base discussion is not so big and we are missing alot of stuff.
I know it would be alot of work for Chris and the other moderators to move ALL of the old Base threads back to the Base forum so I wouldn't ask for it. However, I am sure there are some nice, productive threads that some of you would like to see returned to this forum.
I would like us all to start compiling a list of threads that we want to see moved back into the Base forum. Now I am not going to promise anything. I am not sure if they are going to move things at all. I would just like us to have a thread to post the information on threads that we believe belong in our forums.
Any requests should be posted as replies to this thread. Be sure to include:
Current URL of the thread
Thread Subject
Original author
Brief reason for wanting it moved back to the base forum.
For Example:
Thread Request:
Subject: ***AUTO RSX-SS Thread***
URL: http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59763
Author: EBPdC5
Reason: It is the Base/SS Sticky and it is sitting in a Type S controlled forum.
The above information should probably be all that is needed for the moderators to find a thread so that they can move it. From my Database background I can probably tell you that the most important peice of information is the "threadid" in the URL, so make sure it has that.
I haven't talked to Chris about this yet. So I am not promising that anything is going to happen. I do see some merit in moving key threads back over because people will keep replying to them when they are technically in the wrong forum, which doesn't benefit base owners and is likely going to become annoying for Type S members.
So, have at it people. Lets find some things we want moved.
Post away!
P.S. ** MODERATORS - Please make this a sticky
