I am compiling my Christmas list which I am piling on the suspension mods. I am anti-lowering and I don't want coilovers so I thought why not put some strut bars on it.

So I decided on:
Skunk2 Front Strut Tower Bar (SK-522-05-1890)
Skunk2 Rear Lower Strut Bar (SK-518-05-1860)

The price I am looking at is: $165.00+$141.00=$306.00

Am I wasting my cash?

why are you anti-lowering? You aren't going to get the full effect out of suspension mods unless you lower it. Stock the RSX has alot of body roll in my opinion.

So for out of all the mods i did lowering proved performance the most.

did you look at the mugen replica stuff in the suspension thread? They got some rave reviews, and were pretty cheap.

EDIT - wasn't very clear, the mugen replica tower bar(s). I think they were from islandmotorsports.com a/o importhorizon.com

I am assuming that lowering the car later (when I get Sportlines, a Camber kit and shocks) will work with these two parts, right?

This is what I suggest....get some Tein S Tech Lowering Springs. Just the lowering springs themselves. U can get em on Ebay for like 150. Its a nice drop and deff will improve suspension. The strut bars are also a very good combo. I bought some on ebay. Some no name brand, for front a rear lower tie bar and it improved suspension so much and it only cost 50 bucks all toether. For me some brand name strut bars weren't an issue, they all do the same thing, you're just buying the name. But I say lower it for 150 bucks and be happy with the outsome.

i got the s-tech springs..very nice drop..not too low...but i dont reccommend just springs if you are planning to keep this set up for a long time just becaues our stock struts arent really made for the springs and it just wears it out so thats why it is better to get the full coilover, etc...
also...its not really about brand name of the strut bars but about the quality...i would choose mugen over many of the other ones just because i konw that it is durable oppose to something like the dc sport or whatever(which bent like no other with just a little pressure)...not sure about skunk2 but i advise you to see it in person first...
and..strut bars will help a bit but sway bars are the real stuff that will help your suspension the most IMO...

AirForceOneRSX.. i can get you an immitation front strut bar with perfect fit for $20 + shipping.. Will have identical or almost identical effect.. (we talked about this before..)

aim me @ amelen1 if you are interested.. i really think that $150 for a strut bar is too high..

150 for a strut bar is nothing check out the price of a mugen.

For suspension, If you don't mind a 1.3" drop go mugen.

I wouldn't put immatation crap on my car.

modding cars isn't cheap :(
