Are there any clutches out there that will fit the Base Model RSX (ie: Type-S Aftermarket Clutches) without extensive modification? Or does anyone know the most cost-effective way to replace a worn clutch on the base model rsx? I don't feel like paying the dealership $500 to replace my clutch, so I'm going to probably end up doing it myself. Thanks for any help.

I looked around but all the aftermarket clutches seem'd to be Type-S only, sorry brother.

Damn, so it's either pay $615 for the exedy clutch and flywheel, or pay $500 for the clutch from Acura. BOO. Poor people like me need an aftermarket clutch designed for the base :P

It's just like the old 140HP 'teg....all the good shit was GSR only.

An aftermarket clutch only, wouldn't be much cheaper than the exedy combo. How long did the stock clutch last you?

I should have bought a 2001 GSR :shakehead:

Never know maybe I'll save up for a K20A2

Well, I currently have about 68,000 miles on my clutch, been ridden pretty hard through a few autox and countless canyon runs, it still works for now, but I just don't know how much longer it will last. I kinda gotta slip it alot more than usual so I can accelerate.

Still you got lots of miles out of it. I can't belive it's 500 for a new clutch that's USD isn't it..... 700 CAD for a new clutch... well I got a long way to go i'm only at 6500 kms

You can use a Type-S clutch as long as you use a Type-S flywheel, pressure-plate, etc as well.

That is what I have been told.

Yeh the exedy is around $300, but you also have to buy the flywheel in order to install it on the base :(
