Does anyone know the best way to go about rebuilding the k20a3 with more durability and have everything, I guess, work more efficiently? (ie: will s2000 valve springs fit? cams? titanium valves? etc. etc.) Thanks alot for any input. Still learning this stuff in school, so I don't know much, but I'm at 72,000 miles and I would much rather be on the safe side ;)
The first thing I would do to increase durability of the K20A3 as a foundation for mods is beef up the lubrication system. The K20A2 has jets that squirt oil underneath the pistons to cool them, then has an oil cooler to take the heat away. The K20A3 needs a similar system to take heat away from the pistons if you're going to make more power with it.

I would do that too. Also a few other things:
Type S Crank (fully counterballanced)
Type S C-rods (much beefier then our stocks)
I suppose these parts are interchangable because both engines have that same stroke:bore ratio.

Would all this be substantially cheaper than just purchasing the K20A/K20A2 complete swap? I was thinking about just getting the 6spd from the Type-S, then rebuilding my k20a3 for either a turbo or maybe just to last longer until I can just swap in a k20a. I don't expect to break the 260hp barrier(turbo), but I would like to rejuvenate my car and add a little power to it, rather than just purchasing a new car.
I've also never heard of these jets in the Type-S engine, guess there is more to the differences of the a3 and a2 than I had imagined.

It would be cheaper just to swap, but then ask my friends, I always like winning as the underdog.
