Can we please have a poll for the base owners?

There are a lot of discussions and questions about intake, exhaust, & gas. What else did I miss?

I think we should have a poll just to see what people have. Not necessarily what they prefer.

I'm leaning towards the power getter exhaust. Did you have to modify your exhaust to fit the base and where did you get it from?

What did you use for your custom cold air feed? I'm looking for something to use to get cold air into my V2. Do you have pictures?

quick question, on the base rsx with no mods does it really matter what kind of fule you use? is 87 octane ok or is better to use 89 or 91?

1BADSUP

The manual recommends at least 87. I used 87 on my RSX until I got the AEM V2 intake. Now I use 89 octane.

87 is ok for no mods, if you get hondata start using 93 or 91 what ever you have in your area.

87 octane is better then 93 because it burns faster then only reason to use higher is if your car is detonating the gas to soon. so unless you have changed the timeing( maybe.... hondata... im not sure) 87 will give you the most power/gas millage.

If you mod your car and you get "pinging" (i geuss this is the term) use higher octanes, but only to the point where early detonation is not accuring.

if you use race gas (100+) or too much octane boster on a low tank of gas, and have a basically stock car (IHE...ect) the gas will not have enoff time to burn and will still be burning when it enters into the exhaust which is bad...

so 87>94+
