K20A3 videos...

Hey all. I would love to see some K20A3 videos of your base RSX running through it's gears. Here is mine, from a rolling start 20 MPH on, shifting right before fuel cutoff (72-7300RPM tach indicated).

WOW!! how much money did all that cost? I plan to mod my RSX but I'm still in high school, and if my parents find out I've been doing something to the car I'm dead.

All the aftermarket stuff adds up really quick, but if you search around you can get some good deals. Like my Buddy Club stuff and the VIS Hood I bought it off of a friend of mine for $700 and the kit was already painted :D, he put his car back to stock and sold it and is working on getting a 350Z. The rims I found on E-bay and I paid $450 shipped, tires=$300, Hondata ECU flash=$595+almost 2 full days off from work.etc. Like I said it all adds up really quick, and the bad thing is my Si is only good for a high 14 second quarter mile time after what I've spent so far.

This is sort of stupid, but my parents bought me a RSX just to get to school or go out to hang with friends, when I metioned that I wanted to mod the RSX, my parents thought I was going to do some street racing and kill myself, but I would never do that I always drive safe and race the car on a track. They keep a pretty close eye on the RSX.

I will have to wait till college to do some modding:) and move out of the house to a college dorm where my parents won't see my car:rolleyes:

14's aren't too bad just get a turbo on that K20A3 and blow everyone away!!!

I was going to get Turbo for my EP3 at first because my friend personally knows the owner of RevHard so I could have got it really cheap hence my username (CIVICBOOST) BUT I pretty much only use my car to get me to work and back which is alot of driving considering I live in Palmdale and work in Sylmar, CA. So thats why I opted to get the Hondata and other NA mods.

As for you, How often is your dad under the hood of your Rsx, if he doesnt peek under the hood get a Intake/header and leave the cosmetic upgrades alone till you move out or convince them that their is more to fixing up cars than racing. Their are car meets (which is hanging with friends) and meeting new people, car shows etc.
If that doesnt work tell them, take them to a car show and let them see first hand, then they will see things in our perspective. Tell them that a intake will give better gas mileage, thats a given to let them give in to at least that

As for the mods under the hood, my dad will find out for sure since he is parinoid about servicing the car, he takes a peak under the hood every 2 weeks just to make sure everthing is in check:lame:

but i guess if he keeps the car running well, I won't have to worry about oil changes and other minor things until I get to college:)

If I don't get to make mods till college that is still cool, becasue I'm the only one in my school with brand spanking new car:p

hey Yesterdayz, how much did the Si take you out by? Looks like he pulled hard in that gear. I wonder how a 5-spd would do against the Si. Drivers race i hear, but id like to see one on video.

He took me pretty good....And if you really watch the video, he can't shift, Once he hit 3rd gear, it was all over. And you are right, a 5 speed base against a Si is a drivers race

try updating the Media Player to version 9, because there shouldnt be anything wrong with it if you already have "Divx":confused:
