Yep, I did it. The guy did a really good job. It was about $350. Yeah, I'm sure you could shop around and get a better price. It's still better than buying the Type-S ones for over $400.
Oh, by the way, I got it done about 5 months ago and it still looks perfect. The guy who did it gave me touch-up paint just incase. Believe me, it makes the car look much better.

mm..350 kinda pricy for just lil skirts IMO...mebbe you can try getting the sides off of a type s because theirs come stock painted...

Yeah, if he can find some used ones. New ones from the dealer come in at around $420. So, I saved $70 by just painting mine.

you can get the S side skirts and front lip on ebay for like $170 total. I got all three of mine there for $185 shipped.

painting costs alot for me...i got quotes from like $250 to $400 at the highest from some shop from where i live, and i dont have the patience to paint it myself....i have a base white,so no type-s' come in that color...so i got the pearl white sides/front free from a pw type-s owner becuz he got a bodykit, matches pretty good ...anyone base who want the sides, ask a type-s owner who has a bodykit

IVietec, I'm interested. The only problem is I wouldn't know how to install them myself. I'm in Alhambra, BTW.

Everyone is going to think you're a shaved Type-s and then you'll get embarassed at every race.

who said you have to race?
you can get a nice kit and exhaust and no one will know whether you have a type s or base if they don't look at your front brake disc...
besides it's for a cleaner look not a type s wannabe

I also Bought the type S lip and skirts from clubrsx from a user. I got all 3 pieces for 120 shipped. not a bad deal at all. The install took me like 15 minutes, but i didnt use the type s lip cause i have the C-west Lip. Its looks so much better then the cheap black plastic, smooth and clean. if anyone needs a Type S lip in Nighthawk black pearl let me know. And im not trying to be a Type S wanna be if i wanted to be i would of bought one, I just want a clean looking car. Cheaper then a body kit in my eyes.

I've been looking at getting ones off a type-S, though I haven't had much luck finding them yet.

Whats the point of posting on an rsx forum if you dont like rsx's. If you dont likie them then dont buy one, why should you just rag on other people, its just not cool, so go some where else and rant and rave about rice.

Mine are painted, but then again, I had a total color change done on my car. 9 layers (4 coats of ppg super high gloss black, 3 mist coats of ppg irodecent blue mixed with silver metal flake, clear coats and pearl). Total cost was just under 5K.

why would you spend so much money on paint when your car is only 2 years old?

iv only had my rsx for 2 months and it came with painted side skirts...everything is Satin Silver....what i wanted to kno was, do all rsx's come without painted front lip and side skirts?...i kno the type-s's are painted but how about the base?
VteCRocket

the base should come with black plastic side skirts....if you have painted side skirts then your acura must have been nice enough to slap on some type s side skirts that were replaced by an oem body kit. i went to my dealer not too long ago and asked what they did with the replaced side skirts. they said they throw them away when they install an oem body kit onto a type s. They said they could give me a set for free the next time they install an oem body kit onto a black type s. but i think they were just bull shiting with me...w/e

well my rsx is a 2002 with 14k miles, so i guessing the last owner either got them painted, or bought type-s skirts....at first i thought it was a option but nah nm on that

Hello lotexigeus,
Because I wanted a very specific look and the only way to get it was a complete tear down and color change. I know it wasn't needed, but now I have exactly what I wanted.
Just a matter of personal taste, I guess.
