rsx vs all forum rules:

it seems that this place has gotten out of hand lately. people are talking crap and slinging personal insults that add nothing to the discussion.

although the nature of this forum means there will be some egos thrown around and some egos stepped on, threatening other members or insulting them is not considered proper conduct. so i find it necessary to post a few rules.


stop the personal attacks. this is self explanatory. just don't do it. no, i don't care who started it. if i see the personal attacks, you will be warned. if you don't calm down, your conduct will be brought to the attention of the admins.


no trolling. do not post something just for the purpose of starting a fight. it gets old fast. if i spot a trolling thread, expect it to be locked


If you are going to post a non-rsx race you need to be in one of the driver's seats.We have a video section for the great internet videos...if you are not involved with the race either by filming or driving take it to the video section


yes, sometimes the rsx does lose. sorry, it's not as fast as you think. there are faster cars out there, so deal with it


read ringthree's rsx vs all rules for noobs. read and obey.


if someone is acting like a tool, use the report post function. i want to know about these things, and since i can't be here all the time, if you report a post, i get an email about it, with a link. use it, that's why it's there. note: for the new layout, the report post button is the '!' icon at the bottom left of the post.


if you start some static, don't cry when it gets thrown back at you. simple. if you can't take it, don't dish it out.


posts must be in english, and use proper puntuation. don't be trying to show off your thug skills up in here. that's what the lounge is for. besides, nobody wants to read a 50 line block of text with one run on sentence and no paragraph separation.

the fanboy is closely related to the riceboy. the fanboy thinks he is beyond reproach because he knows all about performance and how to get the most out of his car.

he refuses to acknowledge that his car may have shortcomings. for instance, small displacement engines are at a torque disadvantage by definition, but the fanboy will just scream forced induction will fix that. or if you tell him that fwd platforms have understeer problems and suffer from handling problems because of it, he'll throw out some equally retarded non-sense.

even if you take the fanboy to the track and show him a race in which the SRT-4 slaughters the type s, he won't believe the SRT-4 is faster. he'll say the SRT-4 jumped the tree, or that the type s was stock, or that the guy in the type s couldn't drive, etc, etc, etc.

I can understand the reason for having a RSX be part of the story. I would not want this forum to become a dumping ground for all race stories. It would then just be another race site and those usually suck.

I do enjoy some of the non-RSX stories but I would not trade what brought me here in order to keep them. If the story or video was interesting enough I am sure the lounge lizards would appreciate reading/seeing it as well.

Non -rsx race stories are valid I think. A dumping ground for members.

They have some merit, because if an RSX is supposedly faster than car A, and car A beats car B, but the RSX is supposedly slower than car B, we have some nice debate and more racing to do :)

A little bit of broadened horizons does not hurt either, it's great for comparing the RSX against other real cars in real world situations.

But that's my VW owner opinion :p

I don't mind hearing other car race stories. example would be SRT-4 vs Civic hatch or whatever as long as they are races. I think the "which car should I buy" or "which car do chicks dig more" stuff is stupid though and doesn't belong here. Also no one cares if you put on a new mod or whatever. I think RSX vs All is a race forum and maybe we can get that changed to include all cars.

What makes the forum entertaining is that there are a lot of different car enthusiasts that own different cars, so there's a lot less ignorance when you get a person who actually owns the car to post about it. Without the regulars this place will be a breeding ground for ricers, I can see it already...

I have to agree with this. There are only a handful of people out there that usually post stuff worth reading. Most of the time a lot of the users just post BS or the same old same old unfortunately. Plus RSX vs whatever can only be done so many times. It is getting to the point now where there isn't much going on that hasn't been done already. Thankfully we have some new cars about to hit the market like the Cobalt and 4g eclipse.

I was actually thinking of doing that, or when I make a vid, I was going to put a pic of a RSX in at the end so there's an RSX in it. LOL

But don't you think it would just be easier to either make a subforum or turn this forum into just a race section. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I feel there's a pretty good community of car enthusiasts in this forum and the knowledge would really go to waste if EVERY thread HAD to have a RSX in it.
