has anyone heard anything about this? it gives a 1.1" drop front and .8" drop rear, and is made of "vanadium". Does anyone have these? do they sag and how well do they work with stock shocks? thanks.

I just noticed those today... I'm looking for a mild drop, driven daily in PA, so nothing major just a little stiffer suspension... i plan on puttin 17"s on so springs would be to close the wheel gap back to stock look or a lil' lower. i was looking @ the Eibach pro kit, but the fact that the rear drop is more than the front just doesn't make sense to me, i've been reading about springs for a mo. now, and everyone says it's level w/ them, but i :dontknow:. the Tein H's have been moved up to the top of the list, but what's w/ the ugly gold color??? anyone have these?

Hi, I dunno but it's not like the S-Tech green color is any better, with my silver teg I don't think I'd want green on there, too bright.

They're supposed to be lighter weight than the S-Tech's and they're a milder drop, where the S-Tech drop more.

I had the S-Tech's on my 03' Civic and they were the perfect height when I put them on but after 6 months and they settled in, they dropped a little.

So I'm going with the H-Tech's so when they do settle in, they'lll be the origanal height of the S-Tech's.

I plan on getting the 17' JDM rims, and I don't want wheel gap, but I like the handeling during turns with a lower car, even if it's only a little.

Somehow I kinda doubt you'll be able to see the color of the springs past your rims/gap once you get the 17s on there. Once a little mud or dirt gets on them, they definately won't exactly draw people's attention away from the better parts of the car.

Oh and we feed my cat Science Diet at home DC5Girl :spin:

Yea well, I still don't like the green on the S-Tech's, more than I dislike the H-Tech Gold...:)

Glad you feed your pal Science Diet and not Iams... My 3 eat Pro Plan.

I have the S. Techs on my car along with DC5-R wheels. You can't see the green unless you look under the car. ;)

Where'd you get your rims, are they white or silver, I want the silver ones to match my car....I want them bad.

The answer you've been waiting for... I got the H-tech's and put them on last friday (i will post pics) 1st time install - took my friend and i about 4.5 hrs. between pizza and beer. NOTE: air tools are a must. The front wheel gap is less than the rear, but the car itself seems level... it's just the drop i was looking for. kept the factory shocks - i think they will last. The ride is nearly stock, i drove from lancaster, PA to D.C. saturday and only a few cringes over the course of the trip. handling is def. imporved, but nothing dramatic, added a few mph to some of the winding turns i drive ea. day. any other ?'s just ask. oh... the gold color isn't that bad... not that noticable.

^ Yes, please post pics. I bought the H Tech springs about 6 months ago, but never installed them. And I've been trying to sell it since last month, but nobody took it, so I just decided to keep it.... no choice really.

lwrsbtr

i made the pics smaller... the full shot isn't very good, sun is on the wrong side of the car, i'll take more @ some point. i do not plan to get shocks unless the stocks blow.

The mild drop looks perfect. Since the drop is not the same, does the rear sit higher now (hopefully not like a Neon)? So those pictures are taken before the spring fully settled, right? You think it will go a little bit lower once the springs settled?

the back is a lil higher, but that's sorta how the car is stock, i went w/ the h-techs (besides it only being a mild drop) b/c all the other springs put the back below the front which IMO looks like crap. i took the pics the day after install and hopefully that's the height she stays @... if i notice any difference in the future i will mention it.

I got mine @ www.modacar.com - $176 shipped

Not all springs are like that....I got the S-Tech's installed 2 weeks ago, the front is 1.7 and rear at 1.5 inches of drop.

Therefore, I have a bigger ass gap in the rear than the front which is alright to me! =)

That is great if no camber kit is needed. Was the alignment shop able to bring the alignment back to stock specification (or near)?

yes, no probs.

Again, TEIN has the best of both worlds compared to the eibach's/H&R's...best looking drop (gauranteed no sagging more than 5mm, unlike reports of sagging on the eibach's) and ride quality is livable w/ stock shocks. It'll turn your stock rsx into a VERY aggressive front stance after install.

Is the ride really harsh? Or even bumpy, about how close would you compare it to stock ride quality.

well... it's def. not "harsh"... i used to have a slammed civic and that was kinda rough... basically the car is only an inch lower thus a little stiffer ...so to compare to stock i'd say it's not to far from that. :dontknow: get 3 250lb. friends and pile in ur car and drive around. sorry i can't really describe the feel... i drove my old civic a couple months ago and sat there saying how did i ever stand the bumps. i'm happy w/ the h-tech springs, just enough to improve handling and i'd say not sacrificing much ride quality.

gOt TyPe SeXy???...i'll try to get you a measurement

Those springs look pretty good. It would be perfect if the back was also 1". I like the subtle look, its true most will not know the car is lowered, but they also wont notice that hideous weel gap anymore.

nice i was wondering about thes springs, ur car is nice n clean but wut happen 2 ur center cap?

hmm... long story warning... end of september, i think 3 weeks after i lowered my car i got a flat tire, i went to a tire place to get it repaired and get an alignment. that was a monday, that weekend i washed my car and noticed that my wheel was "rimmed" - had a perfect scratch the entire way around it. so i went back monday and said uhmm... u did this, fix it, they told me they would buff it out, i said that won't work buy me a new wheel. "we can't just buy u a new wheel, if it doesn't buff out we'll repaint it" so i take my car back thurs., leave it and the next day get a call... we can't buff it out. DUH! so then he says we'll have to paint it, and we'll need u wheel for 2 days. ok, well, i told him i'm not going to drive around on my doughnut and i have to have my car. so he gives me a showroom wheel... i had that wheel for 2 weeks... the wheel was repainted in 5 days!... i couldn't get in there for a few more. i get in to swap wheels and they ask me if i have my center cap... uhmm... no. so they lost my center cap, he says oh the people who painted it must have it. so he says i'll have them send it to u. i never got it... would call and harass the guy ea. week for it and then he said he'll go to the dealership and order me one... that took a couple more weeks... so i decide to call the dealership they have two on the shelf. i called the guy and said take ur lunch and go get me a center cap. (i'm not even describing how P.O.'d i am @ this point and basically throughout this whole deal) he said he would and leave it @ the place and i could pick it up... i go to pick it up... no one can find it. this is a friday, probably i'd say at least 6 weeks after the tire repair. so i call on monday "what?!, it's here it's sitting on my desk as we speak" RIOOOOGHT... n e way, not going back to that place, what sucks is i met another guy who works there w/ a civic and he was all about ordering parts etc. for me. oh... and the paintjob on my wheel has a flaw... now tell me, wouldn't buying a new wheel been so much easier and prob. about the same amount of $ and they would've kept me as a customer. DB's!

yea... that's def. an abridged version of the story, i've since gotten over it :smilemad: if you had asked me that question in dec. i prob. would've written twice as much and used a lot of expletives. it was amazing the BS things this guy would say... i should've known from the get go when he told me i had to have a camber kit for the alignment. oh well, life goes on. thanks for making me re-live that experience. ha, jk watch out for shaddy tire places. :thumbsdow

I bought my car used, kit came w/ it... OEM is kinda expensive, but yes, it does look clean, maybe try looking for a urethane kit. i had a urethane kit on my old very low civic, never cracked, paint flaked, but i think that was due to the horrible paint job. it was made by xenon. good luck w/ both the springs and a kit.

Hmm, good information. I deduced that since the RSX w/o OEM kit is 8in off the ground and the OEM kit lowers it 1in.
H Tech springs sound great because since the BC2 kit is already so damn low, a 1in. drop should be perfect instead of the 1.5in drop from the S Techs. I just wanna get rid of the wheel gap.

lwrsbtr, i checked out your site. very nice. :)

i am interested in the h.tech's, could you post more bigger pics please? how many fingers can you fit in between the tire and the car now? i am guessing maybe 2 in the front, 3 in the back? mine is a base and has no body kits or side skirts, i wonder if it needs a more aggressive drop than h.tech can provide.
