Anyone try the new Dupont car wax with teflon? If so what do you think of the stuff?

I have the wet or dry spray wax. When I put it on it doesn't spray well, but after that I am having a tough time getting it off. Major effort was needed for me to get it all off.

i think this is the funniest item to come along in a while . . .

for yeard DuPont tells everyone thet teflon wont do anything in this format . ..
then they market it . ..

hell, even people who work at other wax companies will tell you it dont do nuthin (hehe)

i know of a Mothers employee who haunts several boards - and has stated they tested also, and found no helpful properties of teflon in wax . .dupont found no helpful properties in wax - until someone in accounting and/or marketing said to use it . ..

sheeeesh . ..

its been posted a few times, but i believe dupont teflon must be baked onto the surface it is protecting in order to get the actual affect of teflon. i believe the baking tempurature is 900 degrees F.

i know i read this somewhere but i cant find the link to it.....ill keep trying to find it.

i have the saved test file from the article that always gets posted . . . i dont think its worth reposting here . ..

HOWEVER - if you buy and use the product - and are happy with the results - dont worry about what we are saying - it dont matter.

nothin in it will cause harm , . . .

I think its the same as regular wax. I don't know why its so hard to get off though. Any ideas? I will probably be ditching the rest of the bottle b/c its such a pain in the ass!

I got the teflong spray stuff for my dash and interior. It works pretty well. It doesn't give a high gloss shine. Just a clean look with a little shine. Perfect for what I want. It says it repels dust, but ummmm I notice more dust. But it stays shiny for awhile. I just take one of those grab it dust mits and rub the dash to get the dust off. The shine stays. I'd recommend it for the interior.

Thats true, I'm not sure on the temp teflon needs to be heated up to, to bond to the cars paint, but basically if the teflon isn't heated to that point, it's coming right off. It's all marketing, looks nice when you do it. Then wash it a few times and see that teflon fade away.
