Do you have a picture of an example? I'm having a hard time visualizing what the mesh looks like.
Thanks,

Is that the grill from E-bay you were talking about? It looks great! Did you cut it yourself and everything? I think I might do that too. By the way, I thought that looked like Cali hills in the background. That's where I'm from. And you do have to have plates on the front.:(
I'm going to check Massachusetts law to see if I have to - I head that maybe I don't. Anyway, let me know about the grill!
Thanks,

P.S. It will ook even better if there are fog lights because the two kinds of grills are kinda weird together. Are you going to get fogs?

What did it take to install that? I'm leasing my car so I need to know the details before I got out and buy the same thing. It looks good though...I've been wishin' the RSX had a mesh grill since I saw it.

Hey, if you can do the grill without messing up your lease, and if he did use the ebay grill, maybe you and I should buy one together and split it. I just browsed Ebay and they have 6"x5' for 8.95 or 6"x10' for 9.95. we could get the 10' pice and cut it!!!
:D  :D  :D
Let me know! Then we could even try to cut the pieces together to make it easier (template??? Stryker, did you make/use template?)

no i didn't buy this on ebay....you wouldnt guess where i got it....but HOME DEPOT  just look in the air ducts/vents section.....it should be around $5...i cut it myself by just measuring the area and then just cutting from the roll.....the width was an almost perfect size for it so i didn't have to do anything there....it sorta "locks" in behind the liscense plate holder so i didnt need to tie it down or anything :D ...yeah i wanted to do the foglights too but i cant find a place to tie it down :( ...yup those are cali hills...milpitas to be exact......if you see a blue eternal rsx around that area ...shout me a holla dogg ;)

Home depot? Ha! That's so funny! So you say the mesh doesn't need any attachments? Turns out I have to have front plates, too.
Hmmmm, guess I'm gonna hit Home Depot this weekend then. Did you get aluminum?

I think it's stainless/rust-proof steel...Not aluminum.....you CAN tie it down but i don't think its really that necessary...its really in there nice and snug...i wouldnt worry it would fall out when driving at highspeeds...the wind is push it back...and you'll never go reverse that fast anyways :)

I did mine earlier... Go to Home Depot, go to the roofing/gutter section and buy some gutter guard (about $1.50) You only need 1 section, it only comes in one size... Take it home and hold it up to your grill. You need to cut it down to fit in, wire cutters work fine. Mine is just wedged in there, there is a slot on each side, towards the fog lights, that you can slide the mesh into to help hold it... That's all you need to do! =)

i went to home depot and couldn't find any gutter guard, i bought a different type of mesh, 5 feet for 13.77
i used dimensions 4 inches x 32 inches and it fits perfectly
my only problem is i dont think its too sturdy. i used thin pieces of wire to tie it around the tiny holes in the upper left and right hand corners and it seems like it will hold

ok so run this by me real quick...do you cut out the grill to a certain shape or is it still in a rectangular shape, just trimmed?

i kept it in the rectangular shape and just tucked the sides in behind the black plastic

Hey Styker, did you get the same dimensions as jb1007? 4" X 32" or did you cut out a different shape?

search in DIY...
you guys will find all the info you need there.
basically, dont buy off of ebay... just goto home depot and grab some gutterguard.. make sure its galvanized and use industrial strength plastic wire ties or "zip ties" to hold it in place..
another nice tip is to grind down the jagged edges after you cut it so you stand less of a chance of scratching your paint.

put the grill craft grills in, they sell them on clubrsx. They are a little expensive, but worth it. I have the 3 peice for the bottom and the top. I love the way they look.
