not too much after that....hurley found the numbers on the hatch, they blew the door open...we still don't know whats in there. they showed the shadow of the monster....the guys on the raft bump into the "others" out on sea, they kidnap walt, shoot sawyer, and blow up the raft leave everyone floating 15 miles out at sea....so who knows how season 2 will start off, maybe with the guys at sea washing up on shore

The whole N.A.M.B.L.A. pirate thing was stupid and anti-climactic. I knew it was going to be a bunch of child molesting pirates. And they satisfied our curiousity for the hatch with a ladder? Come on.

Anyway, the part of them getting all on the plane was cool. This should have been an hour show, 1 1/2 tops.

I'm not as excited about next season as I should be, I guess.

Lost is perhaps one of my favorite shows right now.

The writers did a good job with the characters. I especially like John Locke and Saywer.

I usually get distracted by people being out of character and it takes away from the story, but these 2 are awesome actors.

What is the hatch? (not really asking a question) Dont forget the quarentine sign on the hatch, it looks like some kinda medical experiment place, or some wierd lab. That would explain "the security system" and all the other wierd shit going on (the polar bear)

I've got a little bit of alcohol in me(I'm drunk), but i believe there are 2 different kinds of "black smoke". One is from the fire from the beach that the "others" lit, and the 2nd is from the "security system" that tryed to suck locke into the ground.

good point - I was wondering the same thing. Not only did Walt get the polar bear when he was little but he was reading Hurley's comic books that had a big menacing polar bear on it. And they showed that comic book at around the same time that the polar bear attacked the island.
Then there's the flashback where walt was looking at Australian birds in a book and his parents weren't paying attention and then a bird hit their window.....

Maybe it's because of those powers that the others want Walt...?

its a theory that when walt is scared he conjures up monsters, ie the polar bear on a tropical island. We have no real proof, imo, just conjecture.

walt was kidnapped by the others in the last episode of last season. they were out at sea sailing away and they came and grabbed him on a fishing boat.


and I think it's a mind game too. I was sooo hoping he wouldn't push the button. remember in the first episode this season when the blonde(can't remember her name) saw walt in the woods dripping wet. he said something but all you could here were the whispers and it said "don't push the button, button bad" or something very similiar. I wonder if thats part of the conditioning for the people that are supposed to push the button. to scare them into making them believe something really will happen, because a freaky sound says not to push the button.

He gets angry some more tells jack and Locke to go watch a film he had and also explains that he got screwed into pushing this button every 108 minutes, they watch the video which is some old ass video showing a scientist telling them about a special project it talks about polar bears magnetism and some other science things and says no matter what you need to push this button.

It flashes to the boat and where they get on the island again ( Mike and sawyer) they get owned by "the others" and thrown into a pit, a girl gets thrown into the pit (the chick that jack had a drink with in the airport and I think switched tickets with.. they flirted blah blah chick from fast and furious) She starts asking them questions and blah blah sawyer shows her his gun that he will use to shoot the big ass dude that pretty much seems like the leader of the others that keeps throwing them in the pit so she snatches the gun and screams "coming out" and they lift her out of the pit.. (She screwed them over..). Back to the computer crap the guy gives up after zapping the computer and he packs a bag to run like hell making it seem like something really bad is going to happen. Kate goes and gets sa'ied (sp) to fix the computer..

Sometime during all of this it keeps going to flash backs with lock when he got his kidney taken from him, he goes to this class meets this chick (married with children mom) they semi fall for each other but he keeps going to his dads house and she follows him one night and tells him not to go there anymore and then makes him choose either her or him and I think he chooses the dad (never shows it that I remember)

and I think it's a mind game too. I was sooo hoping he wouldn't push the button. remember in the first episode this season when the blonde(can't remember her name) saw walt in the woods dripping wet. he said something but all you could here were the whispers and it said "don't push the button, button bad" or something very similiar. I wonder if thats part of the conditioning for the people that are supposed to push the button. to scare them into making them believe something really will happen, because a freaky sound says not to push the button.

Here's a question, if the people who started the Dharma <i think> project believed the island to be uninhabited by humans, why build a subterreanian bunker for experiments, why not above ground? That's what I have been thinking the whole time. We have no clue if she is dead, just like sawyer she took a bullet. They never clarified if anyone really died. It could have been cindy, sawyer, or freaking shannon that really died. Damn stupid show keeping us all captivated.

Okay, i'm gonna watch this ep again on tivo tonight..but...here's my theory. From the moment i saw AL holding the gun i thought something was up, Lost is never this obvious, pointing right at Al and saying Look at me I'm the killer. Then i realized there was never 1 shot establishing where both Shannon & Sayid and the tailies were, just the cryptic back shot of the killer from S&S perspective...also the killer was standing more mencingly, and yep is left handed, AL was in a defensive stance and right handed, also a small calibur bullet like from AL's gun at close range woudn't produce the amount or pattern of blood splattered all over Shannon in such a short timespan before Sayid found her...hmmm

AL killed her. don't over analyse the situation. I bet she was a cop before and got suspended or even fired for something similar to her current situation. next week is "the other 48 days" so we will finally get to see exactly what happened to the tailenders.
