it is my first time doing it.
i bought Z1, Z2 and Z5. 100% cotton bath towels and liquid dawn dishwashing soap.

1. first clean your car with dawn to purify the paint.
2. do the clay bar process if your car's paint feels rough.
3. wash again with dawn after claying.
4. apply z1 to the whole car using 100% cotton towel.
5. without removing z1 or anything of the sort, apply z2 or z5(if u have scratches)
6. wait for z2 or z5 to dry. (usually 2hrs; if u used z5 then u can use z2 without waiting to dry, z2 and z5 are complimentary from what i understand)
7. using 100% cotton towels clear off the z2 that has dried.
8. wait 24hrs before second coat of z2 (u don't need to apply z1 after the initial prepping process.)

that is what i did. i just followed the instructions posted @ www.zainobros.com

corvette forum has lotta good info on this procedure as well.

just a word of warning - using dishsoap on every wash is very harmful to your paint. I would recommend it no more than 3-4 times a year.

i reccomend to NEVER use dishwashing liquid!!! They are made to take off grease and oily stuff from plates, but i read that it will also remove clear coats on cars if you wash your car with it. SO dont do it:eek:
