rsxers with ep3 seat??

i know there are a few people sporting the ep3 seat in there rsx. i was wondering what kind of modification is required for them to fit or do the rails bolt up? also, how much did you pick them up for and what forum (ephatch? etc) thanks

Thats what Im bout to do in my car .. I heard that there isnt any modification for the ep3 seats in a RSX I believe they bolt right in.. I think they would look hot in our cars..

yeah i think it'll look clean. i just need the passenger one though. i have a bucket seat for the driver. i needed something black.

is that ur rsx in ur sig? .....it's so clean in its implicity. the ep3 seats would look good with those kind of modifications. something like. OE honda parts hybrid mods haha. keep it clean man. AND JDM! :thumbsup:

Are you guys talking about the standard black EP3 seats or the red JDM EP3 Recaro seats?

The JDM DC5 Recaros fit the EP3 with minor modifications to the seat rails (only 3 bolts match properly) so I guess it´s the same if you want to install the EP3 seats in a DC5. ;)

Aren´t the standard EP3 seats in the US Civic Si equipped with side airbags? Not sure if you can swap them easily. :dontknow:

The European CTR EP3 seats are the same but without side airbags and they come with a sewn in Type-R logo. They´re black and the 2004 versions are red/black. ;)

I´ve got the black ones in my CTR. Sometimes you can find a set of matching seat covers on Ebay UK so you can change the seats to the color you prefer. ;)

Not all of them... the side-airbag is an option, and one that most do not have.

i am doing a complete black interior swap and putting those ep3 seats on, i'll post pics when i do it. my seats wont get here until next weekend. i have a forum about them and some people posted some links to some pics and instruction on installation and shorting the srs system. follow the link.

I think "Reborn" had to drill out one of the bolts...like sk8flex mentioned, only 3 bolts match up. But I think these would go great in an RSX, an easy way to get rid of the tan interior (at least for the seats).

However, I think I read somewhere that the EP3 seats sit higher than the stock RSX seats. I believe it was corso28.
this is correct, 3 bolts match up perfect, but one doesnt. with a bit of muscle, smart thinking, and slight hammering(if necessary), you can get all 4 to line up fine.

as for sitting higher, i actually thoght it felt lower, but im a crack head so dont take my word for it. pretty close to stock, either way.

it seems everyone wants to rock usdm ep3 seats now. i guess i will have to swap seats soon.

i have an ep3 and everyone seems to want rsx leather. well i guess the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side of the fence.

oh as for fitment. i can verify that the ep3 rails would be just half an inch too long on the rear bolt next to the center console. (how do i know? IM ROCKIN DC5 leather! wheee)

i am installing them this week, i tryed fitting them today and three bolts fit perfect, but the rear one on the side of the door seats a little higher so it doesn't fit. when i have time i am going to try to fit it, any tips?????

man, I'm trying my HARDEST to find ep3 seats with sideairbags, but that shit is damn near impossible. What I am wondering is if the ep3 seats with sideairbags will work (sideairbags functioning correctly) in the RSX chasis?

So I found someone selling a srs computer from a civic w/o side airbags on eBay and won it for $140. It works! Slight trimming of the middle connector is needed.

the ones with abs have the same plugs and everything. It should work like stock, but mine look as though they were flooded so its still throwing a code.
