Will tire size 245/50/16 on an RSX lowered about 1.5 inches fit? Will I rub and would it be an awkward drive because these will only be going on the front wheels.
I have a set of rota slips in a size 16 X 7 and according to Nitto the tires should fit at a mininum 7 inch wheel width. However I'm not sure of the offset. I'll have to check on that.
I'm looking for some drag radials that can actually be driven in fairly long distances safely for that wheel size and those nittos is all I can up with.
Thanks for any help that you can give.

thats a huge ass tire for a 7" wheel. i'de go at least with an 8" wheel for a 245.... maybe a 7.5, but 7 means you're gonna have one heck of a beefy looking tire on there. it might rub.... its all dependent on your offset. if your offset is low enough you should be fine.
get the offset and we can go from there

225/45 will probably fit on a 7" wheel. 225/40 will not...
yeah ... 8+ for 245's

+45 offset. What u guys think? Another guy posted somewhere that states he was able to fit this size on the stock rim with no rubbing.

Bump back to life!
Has anyone ever tried this? I've got a set of Rota Subzeros 16x7 and was looking for a DR also. 245/50/16 is the only size you can get the Nittos in for a 16" rim. I don't really want to go with Hoosiers, so this is really the only other choice out there for 16s.
I'm close to the same drop also, 1.4".

for the 245s u should be fine as long as u have decent springs and dont slam the wheel to its ends....
for the 16....i ran a 225/50/16 on a 2.5 inch drop and had no problems but i am running buddy club coilovers so my suspension is stiff..
