How to get pen ink out of leather?

I dropped my pen and it hit the steering wheel of my S so there's a one inch pen mark at the bottom. Can this be removed somehow?

Try some all purpose automotive interior cleaners, or soap and water.

Isn't water and leather a bad combination?

No, water doesn't do damage to leather. In fact, the make advanage of leather over fabric, besides that it's more expensive, it is much easier to take car of liquid spills. Fabric will soak up the liquid, whereas you can use a cloth to absorb the liquid.

My wife came up with this.

I had a pen in my pocket and "drew" on the seats--It worked fantastic.

She had previously used this trick on a silk dress so I felt safe.
