Does anyone know how to remove the gauge cluster from a 2002 RSX? I do not see any screws anywhere. :dontknow: I want to install a JDM Type R cluster. The older Integra/Civic clusters where easy (just two screws), but I cannot figure how on my RSX.

now why in the hell would you wanna do that?

There's no difference between the jdm and american one except kph instead of mph and the higher redline cause it's the type r which shouldn't matter cause you don't have a type r and your redline is at 7900

There's no special lighting, no special carbon fiber trim or anything

I am converting everything to JDM specs. Recaro seats, JDM Type R body kit, 17" OEM Honda rims, Integra emblems, red valve cover. The whole works.

Hes going for the JDM look, nothing wrong with that. Dont jump on the negative bandwagon with most of the people on here and flame him for it. His car, his cash.

OK ill be the one to help you, seeing as all some of the other ppl do is hate!

1. Remove the panels under the steering wheel cloumn. There is 2 one grey/black (depending on interior color) and the other is a flat plastic one (black) both should have knobs that you twist to remove them.

2. Scoot your seat all the way back. You have to get your head all the way inside/under the dash.

3. If you look up under the dash you will find 2 screws at the top (philips) remove both of them.

4. Once the screws are removed you will see 2 slots near the screws (very small) put a screwdriver in the slot and press the cluster out. Or pull it out from uptop.

5. Unplug the connectors and your halfway done!

6. Follow these steps backwards and you are done!

Enjoy your JDM parts.

Ok wont u have to replace or reprogram the ECU to make the higher redline affective? plus doing some work to the engine?

erm, since the top speed on our speedo' is 240km/h and the type-r speedo is 180km/h,.. what would happen to the needle if you were going 240km/h?

Diesel Trout

Hmmmm....will the speedo and tach still be accurate? If so, just remember to shift at the Type-S redline, not 8500!!!

Thanks DC5Master, it seems like you are one of the few people on this board that actually knows something about cars. Everyone else just likes to put in their worthless 2 cents.

directions are a little vague...do i disconnect cluster before or after it comes out, and how the hell do i pull it out? Only comes so far then it's too tight and i feel it's breaking as i pull, even tried some lube but it will not come
