There was a previous thread on the use of car covers.

I got the one from Acura, and it works perfectly. I covered up the car before it rained and the next day, it dried out just like that. Granted it's large and hard to fold up(kinda like king sized fitted sheets) the cover is excellent! The material is soft to the touch too. :)

Does the car cover come with any locking device at the bottom around the car cover?

yes it does. It comes with a steel cable w/ loops at the end, and you simply run it underneath the car and lock it on the other side.

This doesn't ment that it can't be stolen, but it's just a precaution.

So, do you think the RSX car cover is worth getting? How often do you use it? When would you recommend using it?

How much were you able to get the cover for?

I seem to have forgotten about this thread.

The car cover was a part of the deal negotiated on the car. Someone else has since gotten a better deal with MORE accessories from the same dealer!

Anyway, I use the cover once a week because I only drive the car on weekends. I tend to wash the car first and the let it dry, using the cover to prevent dust and other crap from getting on the paint. This way the paint won't scratch with the cover over the dirt.

However, sometimes I did have to drive during the week and it was a pain to have to remove the cover and then put it back on. After you ignore it for a few days then it gets dirty and it's useless to put the cover back on.

Other than that, the factory cover is a perfect fit and does the job well.
