I would go with +42. The +35 would work, but if you ever lower your car they will stick out way past the fender, probably close to flush with the outside of the car.

so the inside(lug area) of the rim with +35 would stick outward more than +42. i thought the bigger the + number, the farther out the inside(lug area) of the rim stuck out towards the outside of the car...
so if i wanted the inside(lug area) of the rim to stick more in towards the center of the rim i should get +48???

A +35 on an RSX would cause the entire wheel to stick out past the fender itself, not just the bolt face (lug area)
A good way to look at it with positive offsets are: The higher the number (offset) the further the bolt face will be moved outwards towards the sides of the car, causing the wheel to sit inward more. Offsets are measured from the center of the wheel to the back side of where the wheel bolts to the car. So the greater the number, or offset, the further it is away from the center of the wheel. This works the same for negative offsets too, but I don’t think anyone here needs a negative offset on their RSX.
Here is a link to a page on tirerack.com that may help too. Click here. (http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=101)

You can run a 28 offset I remember in the recent RSX challenge that it ran a 18/8/+28 on Works wheel. Which is actually the same offset I'm running but I don't drive on them. It super flush though but it look hot.

www.ravspeconline.com (631) 586-3520 He told me he had them for $1000 in 17x7 and $1200 in 18x7.5 but he had a set laying around that was sent to a guy in the wrong lug pattern and he was willing to give it to me for $960 one tire was mounted and the rims were brand new so I took them.

I have a 8.5 inch rim with a 35 offset and they're right flush with the body... but you should go with a 42 offset since its a 7.5 inch rim
