i <3 the emotions but i really think the rota torques look better. the spokes are more like clean cut. and they come in tastieer colors. mine in gold are on back order right now. nice cars ! love the set ups

So now its a full mugen kit, even have the mugen spoiler (but i change it between that and type R depending on my mood haha)

Car is dropped with Tein SS-P...but its not that low anymore, too easy to scrape the front.

i have a Limited Edition set of Pearl Exports, from 1999, last year they produced this specific set, i've not been able to find but 2-3 other sets identical, the set itself is worth around $1300-1400, but with all my gear included i have roughly $1800+ invested....

ok, my proposition...i want a set of 18x8.5 Emotions in bronze so bad i would almost gnaw my own foot off for them... i would be willing to ship the drums as long as the taker pays...and i in turn would pay for shipment of the wheels...

After looking at this thread, I broke down and got em! GFunks car looked so freakin hot I had to get a set too. I just got my work emotion CR Kai's put on my car but the center (the hub) looks like crap. What did you guys (like GFunk) do to clean up the hub...almost looks like a cap is there.

Im not a drag racer or roll racer so the evo is not for that. just couldn't make it up the mountains during winter season to go snowboarding with my one wheeler peeler rsx. with the evo i won't have that problem, and im also gonna enter in HPDE so it's gonna be a lot of fun.

Anyways, I have a mini dilemma.. I have 17x7 +42 works and I'm about to put on some 235/45/17s on them. I know 225's are the ideal size but it's what's available and is a major hook up.

I get to try them on first later today but i just want to see if you guys had any inputs on wider tires vs slim rims.

depends on what size rim.. my 18x7.5 with tire weighs 4 lbs more than my stock 16 inch rim with tire. i can't remember the exact weight off hand.. i think i posted it somewhere when i first put them on my car.. do a search. ;)

1) XD-9 18x8.0 Gunmetal (+45 or +35 offset)
or
2) XT-7 18x7.5 Gunmetal (+42)

What do you all think? And for options 1), which offset would be best (Im leaning towards the XD-9's)?

42 is your best bet...basically if you were looking down the side of your car, its where the wheels stick out or in (depending on offset of course) compared to the body of the car....you want the wheels to be as close as "flush" to the side of the car as possible....42 for works are good

There are no caps available for the works and as far as 8.5" idk but I know 8" you would be fine. Cause I have 7.5" and I def. have more room left.

NP glad I could help. Just so you know Work reccomends the exact size setup I have for the DC5 (wheel/tire combo). So go with whatever you want but I thought you should know what the "reccomended" setup was from the wheel manufacturer.

Yes...they are the same just a little bit lighter. Check back in the thread (the first few pages) of mine..I had the blue rays lugs on mine.

That would look fucking sick. I'm not too sure about the chrome part. Always thought that chrome is heavy as shit, wouldn't make sense to put it on a race car.
