Thinking about buying the black one to match my interior some more and because my stock knob is getting chipped on the top. My question is:
What does the push button on top do?

I know it's expensive, but hey, I love my car :)

i think it will look pretty sick on your car, the push button is for older automatics that you had to push a button to change from Park to Drive

I had that before on my Accord but sold it. It looks nice but it's pretty long. If I recall correctly, it's approximately 4.5-5 inch high so it might look kinda weird on the RSX where the OEM knob is about 3 inch high.

It's actually a little longer than 4 inches, not 4.5-5 inches like I stated earlier, but it is still too longer than what you're lookin for. I actually just purchased a leather shift knob on eBay that comes stock on an Acura RL for $12 shipped but don't know if it will fit. Plus the color might be a little off from the Titanium leather on the RSX but...hey, it's only $12 and it's brand new :p.

because the auto rsx's don't need that button, wouldn't any manual shift knob work just fine?

yah what you said is true, then i shouldn't have a problem finding a knob. however, not too many auto owners have replaced their stock shiftknobs, so i don't really know :dontknow:

Yea that's the one I bought last night but in a lite-tan color so it closely match the Titanium color.
By the way, how do you take off the existing auto shift knob? Do you just turn and twist it off or do you have to push it down and twist it off?

it's really easy just twist the knob counter clock-wise. the first actual twist might feel hard, but after that, it just twists off really easy.

yah i saw your post earlier. looks nice, but it sits way too high for me. i want something that is pretty low, similar to the stock knob position.
97accord: did you get your knob yet?

actually, I didn't twist it all the way down yet, it can go 1cm down further...but I kind of like the "Lambo/ferrari" style shiftknob, that's why I set it a bit high...:)

I should receive it tomorrow afternoon from UPS. Can't wait for it :run:. I was driving my car today and I was thinking....should I have gotten the black one:questionm since the stock RSX one is black (but not leather). I don't know if the RL leather would closely match my Titanium leather. I'll post pics once I put it on; hopefully it fits perfectly.

hehe thats koo. 1 cm more would still be too high for me.
97accord: yah black might look better. the thing i'm worried about the most is the fitment though. let me know how the install goes

It fits pretty well. There are a couple of members that bought the RL shift knobs so a new thread was created :D. Here's the thread: http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=377229

To tell you the truth, the RSX knobs seems to make it more sportier cause it's shorter, and the RL shift knob has more of a luxury look since it's leather.
