I will get my type S soon. Just want to know, does the RSX type S required to use synthetic oil by the manufacturer?

nighthawk rider, you can get 5w20 in Canada. It is not synthetic but the normal 5W20 is actually a synthetic blend of conventional and synthetic oil. Head down to your local Canadian Tire store and look for the Quaker State 5W20 oil. It retails for $4.99. Not all CT stores carry it yet but some have started to stock them. Hope this helps. :) On a side note, all 2002 model year cars of any manufacturer must use a GF-3 oil. Most retail automotive stores will start carrying them when new inventory is coming in. Mostly the GF-3 designation oil is to reduce emissions.
