I'm a newbie to all this waxing business, so a simple question:
Is it OK to wax the bumpers and the body kit? I bought a bottle of zymol cleaner wax and the instructions say "Not intended for [...] metalized plastic [...] or flat paint." Are the bumpers and body kit made of "metalized plastic" ???
Thanks in advance!

If you bought the blue bottle, you wasted your money...its not meant for use on newer cars, so bring it back or store it for a few years. Get some Meguires wax.

You can wax the bumpers and body kit as well. Just treat them the same as your other paint surfaces.
Bumpers and body kits are usually made of fiber glass or plastic, which is different from the other surfaces of the car. The rest are usually sheet metal (steel). However if the part is painted, they all have a layer of paint then a layer of clear coat surface as the very top layer. Therefore you can treat all the painted surface the same way.
Metallized plastic are parts like the interior titanium trim in the RSX. They are really just plastic, but painted too simulate the look of titanium metal. Also other parts like the chrome interior door handles of some cars. They look like chrome metal, but they are really a plastic part with a layer of chrome paint ontop.
Make sure you just wax the painted parts on the exterior of the car, and not the black plastic parts that were not painted.

i-VTEC, thanks for the informative reply.
What method do you use to avoid accidentally wax the black plastic parts? It could easily happen while waxing the roof for example.

You can use some vinyl/rubber to clean off the white residue left on the plastic parts. I know Meguiar's professional heavy duty vinyl/rubber cleanr will do the trick.
