Ok, This might seem like a waste of a post, but i have to no if this is happening to anyone else. Whenever i wash my Type S ,which is pretty often i alway use a shammy to dry it. Has anyone noticed that no matter how hard you try , there is always a constant dripping form behind the side view mirrors. I no it does not seem like big deal, but if you don;t walk over and dry it every 30 seconds after it keeps dripping , you get this real ugly line of water spots right down both doors. it takes like 20 minutes for all of the water to get out from behind the seal. anyway, just wanted to see if anyone had any advice , later.

Yeah, theres nothing you can do about it, just wait and touch up when it finally drys.

That dripping is annoying. I hate having to dry down the side of the door every 30 seconds. I

You can try shaking it out, but make sure you don't get any on your pants, that's embarassing. :D

Yea I posted a similar complaint in the problems section. I'm more concerned, besides the ugly water marks it leaves behind, is that if its holding water that will promote rust. I think this should be made known to the dealers so they can get a fix for the seal.

here might be a tip to get rid of the never-ending drip......
if you have a vaccum with the reverse switch or any appliance that will send air (blow dryer, etc....) use that to get rid of the water before or after wiping down your car. a most of the water is in the side view mirrors. you can use this technique on any other spots that might contain water like the gas compartment, trunk, etc.

try this tip and i will guarantee that there will be little to none dripping.

I use a wet/dry shop vac to suck all the water out from the places that don't stop dripping ( on the car only ! )

I always do a quick drive around the block. This gets the water out of most of the crevices and reduces the drying task. The downside to this approach is that you can pick up a bit of dust or pollen. I also keep a cloth diaper under the seat and use it for final touchup if I drive somewhere immediately after washing (and drying) the car.

i thought i was the only one with this problem hehehe :P well i finally solved it! drive around the block after cleaning it to shake off excess water from all crevices. open and close the door a number of times and redry it. THEN stick crumpled tissue paper under the side view mirrors so it will catch all that water dripping overnight. About two pieces of tissue per side will do.

Did anyone notice it's dripping forever right on the nose as well, just under the front Acura sign? I noticed that part was still wet A DAY AFTER I washed the car. I'm not even sure it's water. The liquid feels like water -- I just hope it is...

Guys, this problem is no big deal. I used to have like 4 places that had the same issue on my old 1.6el. The solution is simple. Grab a towel that is not already wet and wedge it into the corner between the door and the underside of the mirror. Use your finger to make sure it is in tight contact with the seal. Then flip the mirror in and back out a couple times. If you have pressed the cloth in there, it should have pulled all the water out of the seal by osmosis. NO MORE DRIPS!!!
