I didn't think that RDJ could play Stark at first, but I think its starting to fit better (seemed kind of short and scrawny at first). His playing of Stark however will be second to the way they present the growth of Iron Man and his machina - how close they stick to the comic mythos and how they deliver that mythos.

I plan on seeing it...looks great visually, hopefully the plot goes with it!

Just got back from watching it and I thought it was really good. Tony Stark seemed like the perfect character for Robert Downey with that partyboy lifestyle.

Asides from being a genius in robotics and other electronics, Tony Stark does not have super powers. Yeah he should have died or have been more seriously injuered. but its a movie and in order to keep it entertaining hollywood has to bend the rules a little here and there.

so like i saw this on thursday night and i thought it was fucking awesome. but after thinking about the movie i have a question. What was the point of them kidnapping stark and telling him to built a jericho missile or whatever. cause like if stark industries deals directly to them couldn't they just have bought some? or are they just too fucking cheap to do that.

and i know they were hired to kill him but what was the point fo asking him to build the missle? they could of just killed him along with the troops in the hummers and be done with it.

They were asked to kill him, but remember when pepper does the translate thing in his office, the terrorists say "we weren't told that you wanted us to kill THE John Stark , we will need more money" something along those lines. The jerico missle might have just been made or something because he was doing a demo for the army so it might not have been mass produced yet and for sale.

But what I thought was stupid was the guy who was trying to kill him waited 30 years to do so and why didn't he just food poison him or something easy lol. Anyway I thought the movie kicked ass that armor was so fucking cool.

Yeah. Because he doesn't keep his identity secure in the comic until the 'Civil War'. I really didn't like the ending, although Unlimited Nick Fury showing up was bad ass and that made up for it. It just doesn't make any sense that he would reveal himself. :|

it definitely left me hanging for more. this movie is great for introducing "iron man" and how he became what he is. with that being said, Iron Man is a good ''intro'' movie and i can't wait till the next debut in 2010.
