Thats a big negatron, China, despite what you may thing, is not an allie. In real life, if someone like, lets say Iran, decided to nuke the shit out of us, China would NOT come to our aide. With implications involving Taiwan and the US presence in that region, they are not too happy with us. They are giving us aide and help right now, so that we will openly share our economy layout and soon, enviromental programs. Once they have what they want from us, the aide will stop.

Also, we know Jake worked for Ravenwood, but we dont' really know what happened in Afghanistan - he must have been part of a mass killing or seen Ravenwood pull off a massacre or something.

And we still don't know who Hawkins truely works for. Still a lot to be answered, but a great episode nonetheless.

But Hawkins in the last episode brought out an arsenal, so the impending fight ought to be interesting, seeing as how every Jericho resident is about to be armed with fully automatic weapons. I think he had grenades and other shit in his basement as well. Of course, if he breaks all those out to the citizens, people are going to start asking how he got those weapons, so that would cause problems as well.

What a way to end the season. Closes right as a fire fight starts, Hawkins is taking the tank to the railroad to try to stop the reinforcements...freakin' Jake and Eric's dad dies, and they used their only mortar round to scare New Burn the first time around. They are outmaned and outgunned. And now, to make matters worse, the guy in charge of Homeland Security that probably set up the nuke attacks knows that Hawkins is within 200 miles of Jericho, so he sends the military in to quash the fighting and to locate Hawkins. a bunch of people are going to get killed in next season's opener. Does anyone know when it will start back up?

CBS has apparently nuked "Jericho," dismissed "Class" and closed the book on "Close to Home."
Net wasn't commenting Tuesday, but several people familiar with the situation said none of the skeins has been given a series order for next season. "Close to Home" had been considered near dead for several months now, with "Class" on the long shot list, but there had been speculation that CBS would exercise some patience with "Jericho."

Jericho fans know the deal: If the show does not get enough viewers, it will be canceled. If the attendance at the CBS program's panel at Comic-Con this year is any indication, there is a bit of work to do.


At this point I have got to point out that Jericho has already been canceled, and this new run of seven episodes is not a renewal, nor is it a second season. This is an experiment to see if the show can be produced for less money which can be conveniently used as a mid-season replacement when some of the other new fall and spring shows inevitably die off, the same way Jericho did.

To pretend that this limited-run is a second season or that the show had in fact been renewed after much indecision is delusional. The show was canceled, the sets were struck, its timeslot given away, and most importantly, no advertising was sold for it which meant no big money for the expensive drama.

As Tim Surette points out, Jericho fans (of which I am one of them) need to actually do the hard work now that they've been given another shot here. Buying a box of nuts with your credit card over the Internet while sitting on your fat ass signing digital letters that you didn't write was the easy part, the part that required zero real effort. Now you've got to go out into the world, leave that office chair for a few hours, and convince other people that have never seen the show to sit on their fat asses and boost the ratings.

Otherwise, Jericho is going to get the axe for a second time, and there's no coming back from that.

News coming out of Comic-Con is that the United States government is set to play a foreground role in the new limited-run series, unlike the first season which revolved around the town and inhabitants of Jericho, which was just getting warmed up to a skirmish with a neighboring town over food supplies.

Esai Morales is set to join the cast as a (former?) member of the military. The story line which was intended to run a full season had to be severely condensed to fit the limited order from CBS, which could play in its favor for people who thought the story was unfolding too slowly, or against it by leaving no time for the subtle moments that gives a series its character.

Now that the old sets have been rebuilt, an expense that certainly will weigh heavily on the minds of the shows producers, it's anybodies guess as to whether or not they'll succeed where virtually no other series has. CBS has given token acknowledgment to its part in the ratings decline, which saw Jericho lose nearly thirty percent of its audience due to a forced three-month long hiatus.

New episodes of Jericho are currently in production with no return date currently set.

tonights episode was written, shot and produced weeks ago...but they cancelled the show this past week.

so they wrote that episode thinking they had another season coming...they might have had a bit of doubt which is why they wrapped up most of it, but even still, they def left it open for a 3rd season. but not any more. fucking CBS shit for brains execs. :thumbsdow

its a solid show where each actor gets better everyweek i highly enjoyed this episode but like u said it was written as a 3rd season is comeing. Its like they purposely kept hawkins around :dontknow:
