Beat Trd S/c Scion Tc In My 06 Rsx Type-s

this is my first time posting a new thread in this section so go easy on me please :ugh:

i've been reading on scionlife forums and OUR forums saying that our type-s vs. a trd s/c Tc is a drivers race? so im here to prove that wrong:laughing:

So last night im at my boy's scion meet (he has a scion tc so go to the meets to hang out with him). A trd supercharged Tc with axle-back comes in. we're talking for a little bit and then i asked him if he wanted to run so he says sure. this was before i found out he was a cop, but he was cool though, lol. so we go to an empty street by my house which is 1/2 mile long with no cars whatsoever around, my boy is at the end with his digital camera recording, and another tc owner is at the beginning starting us off. then a cop comes on our block!! :eek: then the guy im about to race starts talking to them and bullshitting for about 10 minutes. then the cop leaves, drive to the end of the block, but then stops at the corner. im like, how come he didnt leave? and the tc/cop guy is like, "oh, its cool, they wanna watch." im like, ":confused: !?!?!? i dont know if i feel comfortable racing with them watching." he said it would be ok so im like, uummm...ok.

So we line up, our other friend starts us off. the tc only got about 1/2 jump on me off the line, but by second i was neck to neck, then by the end of 2nd started taking the lead....then i mis-shift 3rd!! :run: :mad: so the first run he beats me by 1/2 -1 car length. then we circle around, then the cops leave (so im thinking to myself, ok, now its on), then im like, ok, wanna go again? he says sure.

Second run, line up, had great launch again, he only got about 1/2 car jump on me again. I then beat him by 2 car lengths:wavey:

here's the video of our second run. if you listen closely, withing the last 10 seconds of the video, you can here the tc/cop guy say, yo, that shyt is quick. :laughing:

3) cops come but the tc/cop guy knows them and bs with the for a little bit.
4) the cops parked at end of block to watch first run which got me nervous and made me misshift 3rd so i lost first run by 1/2 car.
5) then cops left so now im like ok, game on.
6) 2nd run, had great launch again, tc only had 1/2 car jump. beat him by 2 car lengths

actually, he wasn't tuned, so that probably made the big difference.(but im still counting this as a kill :laughing: ) then, it might be a drivers race. He said he ran 15.7sec stock, then after the trd, he ran 10.2 or 10.3 or something in the 1/8.

Dayum...I'd say untuned. That TRD tC would probably run 16's here at Bristol, considering regular ones run in the mid 17's.

Good kill... but even I run mid-high 9's in the 1/8... and I just have I/s-pipe/e.

Not sure why the TRD s/c is so f'ing slow... a turbo on the same PSI runs 13's. TRD stock tuning must be as conservative as a rural southern baptist.

i would let them get 1 or 2 freebies in, but then i would tell them if i catch them again, they wil be fucked.

but if i was a cop, i would not be partaking in illegal activites, such as street racing. why the fuck would you be a cop if you cant even follow the rules?

i understand where your coming from, but you have to know that a big percentage of cops dont follow the rules, on or off the job. not saying thats right, i personally hate a$$hole cops who think theyre above the law (great movie btw). but as you can see, this wasnt the worst thing that was going on in my neighborhood. they actually sent out 2 task forces and set up 3 checking pts. b/c weds. & thurs. nights are a big drink & drive night around me. so they were probably more focused on that

TRD's s/c sucks without supporting mods. Much like an s/c RSX-S would suck also without i/rh/e/tuned kpro.

S/C tC's have a shitty tune reflash, usually cannot have CAI's due to the weird intake mount. (unless a custom one was fabricated). stock header/cat really holds back also.

just b/c its s/c, doesnt mean it'll keep up with a 05 type-s. but too bad most scion owners dont believe this. (my bro owns a s/c tc and reads their sily forums. he laughs at them and never go to their ricer meets)

looks like a safe back road to me. having some control over the environment is better than nothing.

i have 2 uncles in the force. both have nice fast weekend cars. (rx-7 and corvette) they have fun on the weekends too. but of course, controlled environment at the tracks :o

Oh I certainly know. It just amazes me how big of a difference (between S/C and turbo) we see on these cars.

I like the idea of warrantied boost... but hell... I'd feel like I'm wasting money... especially when turbocharged tC's are as fast as they are.
