after a long one hour of hard(?) work, I finally got the revo short shift installed on my type-s.
from 3rd to 4th, it's just a way too awesome..
but I fill that from 1st to 2nd.. it's kinda rough to go in to the gears..
is it because I'm not use to it or the gears need to be broken in with the new shift? hmmm..
anyone with same issue?

I love the Revo. I'm all about the Revo.
If you're finding it a bit stiff, invest in a tube of white lithium grease and lube that thing up.
Mine hasn't given me any issues... It's a bit stiff sometimes, so I think I'm gonna add some more grease to it... see what that does.

the same here,
I was debating to get solo or revo, but it seems that revo's a lot better.
and yes, I think I'm gonna try that white grease stuffs and see what happens..
the shift may be a bit stiff, but it's acurate and faster. -- IMO saving myself about 0.5 seconds per shift. (or less)
get the revo ss.. it's worth it.

.5 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your 1/4 would be a hole second faster! If that was true than that would be the best mod for $100 ever!
It probley saves you about .0000000000000000001 second on each shift, but it is still a lot more fun than the stock shifter.
The Revo is deff. a lot stiffer than stock but I like that feel. I also have the white lithuim grease.

oh... I meant... driving.. when very relaxed..
when I press my clutch, I tend to shift very slowly.. feeling the sound of the engine..

I'm not going to buy a tube of white grease so that i can lube a shifter:laughing:
To those who are going to reply to this no, i'm not going to to do it myself. It was a joke.
moshb- you better come to the next meet so i can check that out. I was hoping to see it on jason's but he ordered his a few years ago and is still waiting.

I donno mine has been stiff the hole time.. Not too tight just a tighter feeling. Stock is very smooth and loose compared to the Revo.

after all, aftermarket parts can be close to oem parts..
yes, I'll come out to the next TO meet.
I hope the stiffness will fade away soon (as it was the same for my oem shift - stiffness disappeared after a month or so)

You need to put lithium grease all over the shifter. The stock shifter has grease all over it. Make sure you put grease in the ball joint assembly and then on the two prongs on the driver side which allow for the left-right movement. All complaints are from people that dont install it/prep it right.

a short shifter kit will be more stiff than oem because. I longer shifter provides more leverage and makes it easier to pull through the gears. When you reduce the length of the shifter you are giving yourself less leverage when shifting gears, and thus more energy is required to do the same task
