and I have a question... Last night I washed it, dryed, it and then waxed it with Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax. (No comments from the peanut gallery, thank you, I happen to think it's very nice wax for a medium-colored car.) I applied the wax using their little foam applicator, touching-up any mistakes with a detailing towel (lint-free cheese cloth, works wonders). I let it haze over (treated the tires while this was happening) then removed the wax with another detailing cloth and gave it a final buff with a 3rd clean cloth. After lunch today I checked the finish by gliding my hand across the hood. It felt gritty!!!!!! Not sand paper gritty, but more like there were sparse grains of sand embedded in or riding on the finish. Let me re-iterate that due to the care I took in applying and removing the wax, this would be impossible. I was (am) in absolute horror. Did I screw up with the wax? Did something happen overnight that caused this? Could it be heat related? Anything, please help!! I'm going to go over the finish with Meguiar's Quik Detailer and my Cali Car Brush laster on today and see if that takes care of it, but I'm still concerned...
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
