I just popped in my first ever blue ray in my ps3 to watch on my samsung lcd. Wow. (720p, but its only 32incher so I won't notice the difference) Man, talk about upgrade from DVD! You can literally see the pores on Kate Beckensale's face (I wish I could see more lolz).

I'm sure, though, that HD-DVD will provide the same quality.

However, I have noticed that at Best Buy, the number of HD-DVD titles out compared to Blue Ray are almost double. Is this a sign of a higher popularity of HD-DVD compared to Blue Ray?

It IS too early to say if Blue Ray will become another betamax/minidisc format. But, what are your thoughts?
