Looks great. How much did it cost, where did you order it from, and how difficult to install?

Ordered from Summit Racing (http://www.summitracing.com) . It was around $115 including shipping and took less than a week to arrive.
I installed it myself and followed the directions of removing the front bumper. It took me a couple of hours as the plastic clips underneath the car took awhile to remove due to the dirt stuck within them.
I think this was money well spent as it is a perfect fit and it protects my radiator from bugs/debris especially with the winter season coming.

Is it actually Grill Craft or some spin off? Im just wondering why grill craft sells it fot $159.93 and this place can sell it for so much cheaper.
And WHATS TAKING THEM SO LONG TO MADE IT WITH THE FOGS?!?!?
P.S. Looks nice

I don't understand why you guys spend $100+ for a metal grill when you get that shit at home depot for about $7. What is your reasoning on spending that much money for the same stuff? :dontknow:

Drew187 - Yes, this is a Grillcraft Grill as it did come in a Grillcraft box and does have their logo on the bottom left hand side. I'm not sure why they can resell this for so much less but I'm not complaining.
bigcity - It is a matter of preference. If you compare the quality of the Grillcraft with the very thin Home Depot gutter guard material, I think it is worth the cost.

regarding the markup: thinks are always more expensive when you buy direct from the manufacturer (unless that's the only way they sell) due to them not wanting to undercut their vendors. i.e., the borla cat-back costs ~$800 from borla but only $550 from summit; same w/ this grillcraft situation.
looks great - i'm thinking about getting the center section whenever they release one for cars w/ the OEM foglights.
regarding the grillcraft vs. DIY - in this case, i think it's well worth the additional money b/c of the higher quality of the mesh used as compared w/ the cheap stuff at HD/lowe's. this is one of those situations, just like the blacked-out headlights, where i think spending the extra money may well be justified. if you want to take the time to do a DIY job and can do it really well, then more power to you - but don't knock people for spending the extra coin for the real deal if they prefer. i'm going to do the DIY blackouts but will probably spring for the grillcraft in lieu of gutter guard...but if i had a bunch of cash lying around i'd probably go ahead and get the real JDM lights as well instead of DIY. <shrug> whatever blows your skirt up, i s'pose....

First you cant compare JDM parts to DIY.. There is no substitute for JDM stuff.. In no way is a mesh grill JDM(not that u said that). At first i hated Grillcraft when i saw the silver one and it still looks like a cheap ass grill but in black it looks real nice. If it were less than 50 bucks then i would get one but for 110?!?!!?! What quality is everyone talking about with GC? My grill(painted black) is looking just like it did the day i put it in there.. I dont see it falling off ever or anything like that.. Plus its very OEM looking as you really cant see it, unlike GC. What happens why a nice little rock hits the grill? Chipped powdercoat! That is just ugly then.
Lets see, if i have 120 dollars what do i do? I can buy a GC grill(which only gets me the middle one) or i can buy a mesh grill for HomeDepot and black paint for 5 bucks and then i have 115. Wow now i can even buy a Revo short shifter!!!!!

quality of DIY guttergards are good, not great and durable as the grillcraft I guess. BUT.....what if you got 2 pieces of the guttergards and soldered/weld/superglue them together and then paint it. I will be twice as strong than the one piece by itself and it'd still be cheap!!!!! Anyone wanna try it? I might try it sometime, damned why didn't I think of this before? Then I can sell this on Ebay! yikes

Hey sigi...If you have the cash, get the grills that go over the fog-light area. They make it look more complete
I wish I had the chance to get the black ones :( but I can't complain on how much I got them for :p

The black is very nice! I have the fog light pieces yet to install, but the center is in. It is so firm, and it does not have the cheap look at all!!!
However, regarding the color black, it does chip :( and the color beneath is white so it sticks out like a soar thumb. You can always spray paint it though... :)
I think it looks great, I took the grillcraft logo off of mine though.

That's how i'm gonna do my grill :) but i'm gonna mesh the fog lights too and put some piaa fog lights behind the mesh so nobody will know they're there.

I liked the look of just the lower center grill. I thought about the fog light areas but didn't want to spend the extra money.

No you don't cut them, they are still there... The grill sits in front of it, and does not require to remove those pieces.. :)

The grill is attached by two screws from the inside. You would have to take the front bumper off to remove the grill.

meaning that you have to drill 2 holes? are they visable without the girll on?
is the Grillcraft really better than the homedepot mesh grill in quality?
sigmachi96

If I decide to take off the grill, the holes are not very visable. Take a peek at the install instructions from grillcraft (http://www.grillcraft.com/installs/installs.asp?action=view&install=66)
Various people have different opinions on the homemade vs Grillcraft but I think the cost is well worth it. For the cost of buying the material, cutting the material to size, painting and mounting, I thought it was worth the money I spent for getting the pre-made Grillcraft in the mail and doing the quick install myself. You have to see one on the car to fully appreciate the quality that Grillcraft spent in producing one.

homemade chicken wire grill for 3 bucks...
110 bucks can buy a half oz of chronic.. what a waste:(

homemade chicken wire grill = You get what you pay for
grillcraft = Worth the money in my opinion
Feel free if you want to pay $3 bucks plus all the time you spend configuring your chicken wire to fit your RSX.

k, i'll be nice in this thread..
( <~~~~diy owner. )
the black one isn't as obtrusive, but what are you going to do when the first rock hits it? send it back and ask for a refund? gutter guard is preventative, if a good sized rock hits the grill, it'll dent it. yes. if that same rock hits your grillcraft, it'll dent it. yes.
it could tear a hole in my gutterguard and you still wouldn't notice it, because it's back farther.....
but seriously, anyone who's had a black on for a while, please post pictures up in a month or 2, and we'll see what it looks like. my diy has maybe 8k or so on it, mostly highway miles with lots f flying rocks... and its still in good shape, minus some paint chiips.

Hey, can you take off the grillcraft logo on the grill?
i hate having to "advertise" for companies and it looks out of place considering the smooth/sleekness of the grill

yes, you can its pretty easy as well, and you cannot even notice that it was there originally.

I think if i go with a grill, i'll just go with some gutterguard. The grillcraft sits up far and like pepsi said, it'll probably start looking bad after some time. It's gonna get chipped up eventually, at least if you don't pay much for it, you can replace it.
I have had mine for several months and it still looks new. I have had some rocks chips but applying black touch up paint has hidden any of these chips.
