LS1 S30s are nice.

It's 2 episodes per month. Better than Initial D's 2 episodes every other month. That was a killer during stage 4. I'll update the first post regularly as the episodes are subbed. Consider this the official Wangan thread :)

It's not very initial D ish.. It's more of a highway "tag" street racing type of scene.

Wangan has been around for a few years now.. They have some awesome arcade games where you play tag on tokyo highways!! lol

now they're doing a full blown anime.. should be good.. and LONG.. if they are to cover 14 years of weekly mangas

eh, i like the manga a lot better.. i've been into Zeds for a long time too. good thing the anime doesn't seem as 'hooking' (cant think of the right word) as initial D.. hopefully zeds will stay in the tight community that it is, i dont want kiddys to start raping the junkyards before me

edit: btw, this isn't the 'next ae86' persay, its not a drifting car. drift has picked up a great deal since fast n the furious and initial D but zeds were never really about drifting. it IS an AWESOME project car though, thats what im worried about :p

I hate to admit it, but I loved Initial D, and I remember reading Wangan Midnight and enjoying it even more because I owned a 280zx (mine was incredibly slow, though). + rep all over the place

Watched it. Seems like an Initial D rip. Loved the animation, especially how they modeled the Rainbow bridge! But, if they wanted to do something underground why not play off of Shutokou Battle? Or, do something with the Bousouzoku scene.

Even though this storyline is about hashiriya, it still screams Initial D when I watch it.

They need to bring a port of the new one to the US... The first one was like a really limited version of Tokyo Xtreme Racer. Only had like 10 cars total, and wasn't free roaming.

I lost TXR Zero for PS2 and I'm kinda upset about it.

I think I traded it in for 3... Which was a terrible idea. And their Drift Games suck balls.
