i'd get my money back for that supercharger. supercharger doesn't absolutely guarantee victory if the thing isn't pumping much boost. you still haven't said how much he's running. 6-7 psi would be enough to easily beat that Z.

I said hes running the highest amount possible with the comptech supercharger. With supercharger the PSI is regulated by the size of the pulley, and he has the smallest one which is the highest PSI

the dash and center console. I like the sti's interior better other than the blue smurf cum interior. But I like the 9's seats better. interior isn't what you by performance cars for generally though.

the floor mats that developed holes in them within a few months.

the cheap carpet on the floors that hold onto dirt, and gets all fucked up when you try to clean it. the carpet inside the car is like the carpet from the trunk of my accord.

the shitty headliner that is almost impossible to clean (i hate that about all cars)

the mystery rattles and noises inside the car.

the BBS wheels that are almost impossible to keep clean because of the 3000 spokes.

the fact that the stock brakes were gone within 16k miles.

the fact that the stock tires were gone in 8k miles and are 250 per tire to replace. (i went with RT-615's instead. just as good and cheaper)

the metal MR shiftknob that gets hot in the sun and burns the shit out of you.

the fact that it doesn't come with a full size spare.

how expensive the maintenance is.

how janky mitsu is with their warranties.

having to drive almost 2 hours to the closest mitsu dealership to get my car serviced because the mitsu dealership here doesn't know what my car is.

as for the idiots at lake charles mitsubishi...

when the brakes were going bad the first time i figured hey what the hell, i'll check and see how much the dealership would charge me to replace the brakes with factory shit. well it took them close to 30 minutes to get me a price because they couldn't find my car in any of their computers. i had to explain to them what it was, and that all the guages, the wing, the vortex generators, the wheels, the brakes, the shift knob, and the seats all came stock with the car....

well while i was in the service lane a few mitsu techs come out of the shop and see my car and start asking me questions. they tell me it's a "sharp looking car" and that they like what i've done to it. then they say that i "must've put a lot of money into it." then they look shocked when i tell them that the car is stock other than the carbon hood/trunk, and the drop (coilovers).

then they ask me if it's an automatic. i told them no, it's a 6 speed manual. they only come in 5speed and 6speed manual. there are no automatic EVO's (in the US at least)

then they ask me if i do any racing. i said i autocross and road race it (i got blank stares) they ask if i do a lot of burnouts. then they ask me if it's RWD... i was like no, it's AWD...you can't do burnouts.

then they ask me is it fast. i tell them the stats and they're like wow. the next question was if it was a V8.... then i told them, no, it's a turbo I-4. you should have seen the amazement on their faces.

here's the best part though. then they ask me what it's called and who makes it.... then i tell them and they are like what? we make something like this?

oh, and if you were wondering, they wanted right at $900 to replace the brakes front and rear. it was hilarious because the service douche was like, "well i have a price, but you're not going to be happy." i was like, "why not? if it's too much YOU're the one that's not gonna be happy because i'll just go somewhere else." so he told me the price and i just started laughing. i was like "are you serious?" i told him nevermind, that i'd order the pads online and just do the install myself. he then started off on some rant on how that "might" be possible, but he doubted it lol i'm thinking to myself NOBODY EVER replaces stock EVO pads with stock EVO pads so i shouldn't have any problems doing it. then he got all pissy and was almost daring me to try to find a cheaper solution. i laughed some more and told him that they should work on their sales techniques and pricing plans so they stop blowing customers out of the doors with ridiculous prices.

i found Hawk HPS pads for $177 shipped front and rear and paid a shop $60 bucks to install them because i didn't have time. the second time i changed the brakes i upgraded to stoptech slotted rotors at the same time and did the rotors/pads install myself for free.

That WAS tight because I was one of the first base rsx's to get fully dyno tuned with hondata kpro cause no one else would man up and do it. I'm the reason alot of the bases on here are actually making more power than just a cai.

See i can take a 3.0 pulley and i can make diffferent PSI based on several things.

2004 engine k20a2, unmodified internally, with stock crank pulley with a 3.0 pulley tuned properly should net 11 PSI.... YES

This also assumes a well flowing exhaust and minimal belt slip. :D

lol.....well, with the stock turbo all a subaru has is a lot of midrange and no topend.....even with a sti vf39/30/34 all you have is a TON of midrange power/torque and not so much topend.....usually the boost tapers at high rpm or most folks taper it cuase the stock injectors cant handle it.......my turbo actually spikes hard to 17-18 at 3k rpm, then after 4½k rpm it slowly starts to BUILD MORE boost to like 19-20:eek:.......its not very safe for my 91oct fuel maps, but we are slowly working around that and fixing it:thumbsup:

Yeah It was time. I put 60k on her in a year an a half driving around aimlessly so i had to get out of it before i lost anymore money. Ya laloosh was traping 111 with I/TBE/BC/ at 17-18 psi. He's what really sold me on it.

Correct. I just lost interest in trying to make it faster than it was and going for anything more. None of my other higher HP tunes would run on the car any more for what ever reason. Then this Turbo TC took me out and that was the straw that broke the camels back.

Anyway losing your car to the dealer for a year total kinda makes you think twice about continuing to mod that same vehicle.

I don't like how they limit power though, isn't it like the first two gears or someshit? can that be tuned out?

yeah first two gears are limited but when you see how much wheel hop it has you kinda see why. Theres a boost controller with boost cut defender that bypass's it. it'll give you 15-16 psi in first and second but you better have some motor mount's or something. I'm just gonna drop down the lighter wheels that usually clears up bad wheel hop as well.

Ya My cobalt was to beastly so i had to tone it down a notch. J/k

I was supposed to race LAloosh in his MS3 but then all in a sudden none of my higher HP map would run on my car. nothing at all. I went to the dyno again and car was only putting down 225whp. I threw in the towel. I couldn't spend another 6 months trying to find what gremlin had gotten into my car THIS time. Last time it was a stuck valve and lifter. Good luck eyeballing a problem like that without granadeing the whole top half of your motor which is what i ended up doing....

I hate to say it but the MS3 just felt put together better than my cobalt. I love the interior and i have alot more functional space to work with. I haven't owned a 4 door since i was 18 and im 24 so i kinda of miss it.

And I will also say that I gotta agree with darksun that lighter wheels did help wheel hop. I've noticed considerably less when I moved down to the 17's I have now from the 18's I was using before.
