rsx vs. "m3" (316)

so this guy in my unit is a total tool. he tells me he's buying a m3 for like 2000 euro. i figured theres no way this car has a motor, much less a suspension. so i see the car and nope, not an m3. this thing has the m3 logo on the trunk, but not the side vents on the front fenders, it has an auto tranny, regular cloth interior with no m logos anywhere inside. i tell him dood thats not a m3. yeah it is your an idiot. wtf. i tell him ok smart ass pop the hood and lets see if its an m3. uh, sohc 1.6 liter 4 cyl anyone? i could be mistaken and it might be a 1.8, but it sure as fuck isnt a damn m3 6 cyl. i tell him you got took it aint an m3.


a few days pass. i have to take paperwork to the motorpool and hes in the parking lot talking to someone. as i approach my car i come within earshot of the convo. hes talking about his m3. oh boy i figure, idiot ricer right? well get this, ol boy is saying hes wupped my dc5's ass repeatedly. i got out of the car and told him you meet me after work hotshot. if you can run your mouth maybe you can run your "m3".

we meet after work and get onto the autobahn. he punches it and i simply downshift. i pull on him hard, open a gap of about 3-4 cars. no problem, i also know an area where we can do straightline, theres no one in the area, no buisnesses, no people basically a nice long road in the middle of nowhere.


we line up, he takes me on launch (his car didnt have enough power to spin his tires, unfortunately mine spins em hard when launching)

as soon as i grab traction i begin to pull away from his car. i once againn open a gap, this time 4-6 cars lengths. homeboys car runs like shit and is slow as fuck.

we then pull into a parking lot, i just look at him and say m3 my ass, your shit aint even running right, whats all the fucking smoke coming out of your exhuast? shit looked like spy hunters smoke screen. fucking idiot. next day i tell him in front of his friends, hey tell everyone how your m3 got clowned on by a 4 cylinder. good shit.

We have people like that here, but they are not posers!! you will see a 92-95EG hatch with Type R stickers on them just like the DC2 ITR!! The funny thing though is they are running quicker than 12's in the 1/4mile. You would think it's all show and No go but most of them are on the Bottle and either have LS/VTEC or B18C1/C5 swaps.

Was it an E36 M3? They come in auto, the logo is small and on the door, it also came with cloth interior.

i know they came in four doors and they arent as common place as a coupe. i didnt know about the cloth though so i will admit it was my mistake there. i do know a damn m3 doesnt come in 4 cylinder. didnt know about the auto either.
