Me vs Turbo Supra

So im getting on the highway and in the lane next to me is a 86-92 Turbo Supra. We get on the highway and he just takes off so im like cool maybe he will want to run. I chase him down around one curve catch up to him and slow down next to him and he just takes off lol. So I gun it like a second behind him and where off. Race started at 80 I think and by 130 he was about 2 cars ahead. He had an exhaust but thats all I know. Anyways it felt good to keep up with a supra :thumbsup: And yes I know it wasn't the twin turbo cause the rsx is slow.

Well if was an N/A supra I could believe it, I don't really know much about them though. Twin-Turbo of that year though = not gonna happen even if he was bone stock because it would have been uuugly.

Lol...The only ones that are single turbo have a lotttt of power with a big turbo. I'm guessing you raced an N/A.

Yea in my first post I said I know it wasn't the twin. Whats the stats on the N/A supra. He could of been a flamer and just put the turbo emblem.

EDIT: I looked on Wiki and it apears that it was a 86-92 supra if that helps. And it looks like it has about 230 HP so I guess its about right.

mk3 supra. they are low 14 cars-high13's bone stock (they are 15-20 years old..). if it was n/a, i could see it..but you said turbo.

Yea it had the turbo emblem so I was guessing it was turbo and after reading the stats I would guess I was right. The turbo had 230 hp( which im guessing was crank hp) its curb weight was 3500 lbs vs me we will be nice and say I have 210 crank hp in 2850 lbs I would think id still win but obviously he had some mods ie exhaust and who knows what else resulting in me losing by 2 cars.

EDIT: My main point of my original post was that it was cool to keep up with a car more superior then mine wether it be N/a turbo or fucking s/c.

and its quite possible for the type s to take the 7m-gte as long as said type s has basic bolt ons and kpro.

Were they really that fast? My buddy has one and before he tore it down for a rebuild + bigger turbo I think he could only click off low 15's/high 14's like a stock types.

high 13's may not be possible, but they arent low 15 cars either..

my buddies will give the goat a run for its money as it sits..he hasnt even tried upping the boost and getting a better tune on it. the turbo he has and set up he is running is good for 500+whp..

of course, he does have a polished head, bolt ons, catless turbo back exhaust, tuned up, etc.. you couldnt tell it was a 15 year old car by the looks of the engine. :D

the guy was probably stock turbo (single) boosting more than stock w/ the basics (intake, exhaust, upgraded downpipe,etc). with these mods, the mk3 could be a high 12 sec car but its most likely a 13 sec car with around 300whp. no worries, he should beat you.

turbo would eat you. Its gears would eat you top end even if you had full bolt ons. yes they are capable of high 13s stock.

Old school Supras were slow as fuck. A bolt on RSX can run high 13's, so you without a doubt lost to a modded turbo Supra. 230hp in a heavy car is simply not that fast.

I believe the OP, those things run like shit unless the they've had quite a few mods on them. I've raced several, and they all ran about as fast as a stock type s. A few of them had bolt-ons and still weren't very impressive.
