So any ideal who would win? An 06 RSX-S Supercharged 9-10psi vs a 240sx with SR20DET at 10psi. I know the SR20DET stock is only 200hp. Someone wants to race me this summer when i'm supercharged ..

Lighter? Are you sure, the hood on it felt like a 100lbs. I was very surprised by it, its the heaviest hood i've felt, even a lot more than my Z28 hood. Because of that i was thinking the car was prett heavy..

240sx's weight about 2800, so about the same as an RSX...
An RSX Supercharged @ 10psi should be 280-300 depending on supporting mods and tune.. and the 240sx.. well I cant say because PSI does not say shit about how much power he is running.. What kind of turbo does he have? It's probably a small piece of shit like a GReddy turbo so I'd have to say you guys would be even, and/or you should pull away
gearing is the RSX's friend too..

Fixen to be, right now i have K-Pro, DCRH & Comptech short shifter to put on right now. I was thinking of changing my Injen SR to their CAI, while the bumper cover was off i'm going to put a Koyo aluminum radiator with Mugen fan switch and thermostat for starters.

Yeah i also noticed at stock their 200 but i figured that was at 5psi, if its stock at 7psi then 10psi shouldn't be a huge gain in hp...Torque really shouldn't matter unless we're racing up hill and we don't have hills down here..

An SR20 @ 10psi on what turbo. T25? T28? If its a stock Garret then don't expect more then 220-230whp BUT take this as you may. A '92 240SX (KA24DE) ran a low 17 bone stock, they turbo'd it for less then a grand put a new clutch in and ran 8psi...they proceeded to run a 13.7 @ 107.xx. I had a basetune on my RSX @ 9PSI on my jrsc and I slightly pulled on my friends 98 a/t LS1 Trans Am that ran a 13.2 @ 108 on street tires.
also which 240? a base model 89 240 is around 2650 curb weight with full interior....and the SR20 is lighter then the KA24.

I'm not sure what year but i know its an S13 that came with a KA24DE but was swapped to a SR20.. When i'm running the JRSC i was hopeing to give my friends 02 WS6 a surprise to let him know small imports can run. He's a gear head and thinks only V8's are fast. Just to put a little fear in him. Even if he doesn't fear the RSX, i have a C5 that he does..:laughing:

I raced my friends; he had his stripped out+swap+cai. He was so sure he would destroy me, but he was surprised it was as close as it was. it was from 55 to like 95 when i shut down. it was like 2 cars tops
he was at stock boost.

yeah, but he has a very old car, and you have a state of the art new car, that has decent power even though it's a n/a, who knows maybe you could surprise him..............sr2o are not that fast stock or close to it

Dude, I have nothing but respect for a car like yours, but I HATE racing cars like that LOL. Even though I've beaten 99% of the Hondas I line up against at the track, I hear SO much shit from the Honda guys after I lose to a car like yours. I never hear the shit from the guy with the fast Honda who has every right to be talking shit, just the ones with the slow Hondas. I guess I can't say much. I always cheer for the few drag Mustangs that show up at NOPI. :laughing:

I've had the C5 since new in 99 and is weekender, the civic i've had since new in oct of 92, its a 93. Something happened to the civic and its not running at the momment, either i got water in it or the timeing belt broke, I needed a good daily driver so i bought the RSX-S. I've had the civic for 15yrs and don't have the heart to get rid of it even though i probably should. I even had offers as high as 4500 with it not running but after having it so long i can't seem to let go of it. The civic has been sitting close to a year and i soon need to see what is wrong with it, i'd almost bet its the belt but i shall see soon..:laughing:

Pretty much everything but a supercharger. I've wanted to have some good pic's but i have a shitty camera. A good buddy of mine just bought a real nice camera and is going to come over and take soom good pics for me. I'm going to SC it but i think i may SC the RSX-S first because of the price difference. My next mod short of SC'ing is to take the intake i have on it now and change it to the vararam i just bought and i also have some suspension mods to lower the car a bit. The only two things left i can really do is a SC and a head & cam package. I think i'll do the head & cam kit this year and SC next year. Race me in what?

Also i never did finish the civic, i have a west wings rs kit for it plus jdm clear headlight & signals plus the type-r rear lights. The interior is mint with white gauges that go to 160mph & i redid all the dash lights in red. It also needs to be retinted and when all thats done, it'll be done. but i also need to see what up with the motor, i'm pretty sure it'll be fine since what ever happened to it hapened at idle.

You will blow him out of the water. SR20 240's are piss ass slow unless they are running a big turbo. Most of the ones you see driving around either have little bittty t25's or t28's or are running small greddy turbos. I raced a s14 with a sr20 swap from 2nd and 3rd gear pulls. I pulled on him a car and half to two cars everytime. And only thing i have done to my civic is a k20a2 swap and bolt ons.

all usdm 240s came with the ka24 "truck motor". 89-90 had a sohc and in 91 they upgraded to a dohc. all ka's are rated at 155hp and 160 ft/lbs (at the crank) however the sohc tend to be less powerful as they are ancient motors. as far as chassis s13 is 300lbs lighter than s14. transmissions are identical. also pay attention to if its an se model or not. se models came equipped with a vlsd. as far as sr20's go they start with a redtop motor pushing 205 at the crank and then go on up to the s15 sr20 rated at 250hp with variable valve timing. chances are if your boy has an s13 he probably opted for the cheap route and copped the redtop. look for that motor to put down about 175 -180 to the wheels stock. with him turning the boost up it will depend on turbo size and how fast it spools. there are alot of variables to take into consideration when judging sr20's. i guess thats why they are favored in the street scene so much.

wow there's some hard core noobage in here. it depends which SR you're talking about. s13 sr came like what 205ps stock? s14 came with 220 stock and s15 came with 240?ps stock.
integra type r pulled in 5th gear on a turboed s14 in japan though it was very close up until top speeds. I think that will give you a good basis compare to.. i mean assuming you can compare an integra type r to your rsx.
