I was just cruising along heading to the movies with my girl. Passed a 5.0 and saw him jockeying for position to catch up to me. We rolled next to each other around 45 for a little bit and i waited for him to hit it figuring id give him the jump. Well he didnt so i floored it, his front bumper stayed around my back tire up to about 110 where i shut it down. When he turned off i gave him a beep beep but no repsonse so either no horn or he was pissed he just lost to a rsx. I was hoping to catch a line with him because im not a fan of roll racing but wasnt lucky enough. I love beating domestics in an import just because i know how much they hate it.

Oh no big feat at all but i usually run into riced out civics that i can just blow away or something turbo that blows me away so it was nice to catch a decent race. And rolling next to him i had no idea whether he was fully stock or not, for all i knew i was about to get my doors blown off. There are so many used 5.0 parts around you could probably build one from the ground up at most junk yards so you never know what you're going to run into with one of them. I know a couple Mustang guys and i cant believe the prices they pick shit up for, they get used blowers for rediculously cheap.

Last time I checked, most cars are made of steel. JDM steel doesnt rust slower than USDM steel, its all in the paint and owner to take care of it. There are plenty of 40 year old mustangs with original paint jobs and no rust.

Factory explorer heads, factory explorer intake, cheap cam, etc.. I think all the engine stuff cost me $500. Any rsx's with $500 in them in the 13's? Most of the RSX's posted on this board seem to run mid 14's.

obviously because stock they run high 14's as long as the engine is in good shape. Did you bother to see the other times he ran? It's kinda funny that stock mustangs from over a decade ago is keeping up with stock cars that is far more technically advanced. I don't really think there was a 4 cylinder import keeping up with stock mustangs back in their day. :laughing:

Needs a little work here and there but runs, has the stronger Tremic 5 speed (I think he said 35/50, I'm not sure though), put another engine in because his old one went on him, cai, full exhaust with an x pipe I believe, uninstalled explorer intake, spare hatch with no rust because the one on there is slightly rusted, cobra r hood, and a t-bird rear with disc brakes. He's looking for 2,500. Just figured I'd shoot that out there since you're just in Jersey.
