Yeah...I mean, I pull only a couple of cars on them up top...I'd imagine that from 40mph, at a lower speed where raw torque makes a good bit of difference, that the TS would get blasted. I mean, hell, 40-80 for an 05-06 is 2nd and 3rd gear only. So I'm believing that the GT was in the wrong gear for the race.

An RSX would need about 220whp to keep up with a 275whp stock GT from a rolling start. Doesn't seem like TS's car has enough mods for that.

Are you serious? A bolt-on only, untuned RSX has nowhere near the same power to weight ratio as an 05+ GT, and makes significantly less torque.

Stock for stock, one is a high 14's car, and the other is a mid 13 second car. Any race that lasts more than 2 seconds would get ugly real quick. With only untuned bolt-ons, (not even taking into account of the quality of the products, as not all race headers and exhausts are created equally), the RSX's gearing definitely doesn't make up enough of the gap to cover getting pulled hard almost immediately. Especially if it's an 02-04 RSX rather than an 05-06.

Bro, list your mods. Because just keeping even with this car is not likely. There only thing I can think of is that he's either in the wrong gear or that starting speed is not that great for his car (and even if it isn't, he's got plenty enough torque and power to make up for it). Get a video of it and I'll believe you. I'd also like to see you race him for longer than five seconds and for more than 1.5 gears.

40-85 is a really good point for an 05+. That's about 4500 rpm in 2nd gear (close to the tq peak) and will pull very strongly until the end of 3rd at about 100. 4th gear they kinda fall on their face a little bit in stock form but its nothing a couple simple modifications can't fix.

40-85 is a really good point for an 05+. That's about 4500 rpm in 2nd gear (close to the tq peak) and will pull very strongly until the end of 3rd at about 100. 4th gear they kinda fall on their face a little bit in stock form but its nothing a couple simple modifications can't fix.

I'd agree with you that the majority of drivers will run that. I personally did 13.7 @ 102 stock but that was also my first time to the track with the car as well as my first time drag racing a RWD car(it's a lot easier than FWD :D). I am sure there was room for improvement but I modded it pretty much right after that run so I never extracted the best time.

There are drivers who are skilled who can turn better times, and that's where you see the low 13's coming from, but it's unlikely you'll see one at your local track.

well, we rematched again in a couple weeks and this time he drove it ok, not messed up......HE FLEW BY ME like i was in reverse.....

Nah those are Nitto drags. I got a 1.70 60' with em on but apparently my topend is fairly decent leading to that trapspeed. I think with a 1.6x you'll see an 11.5 :D
