That's because they're so cheap the repair bill would exceed 75% of the cars market value which should deem it totaled lol

I guess the cost is just straightening out the unibody frame. Damn that shit must be weak and crumple very easily.

actually..that wasnt the main cost.

new intercooler, new hood, new front bumper, put the motor back where it was supposed to sit, new roof, new sun roof, new windshield, new quarterpanel, new paint... thats off the top of my head..there was more :)

on the other hand, its funny that they totalled it cause there isnt REALLY alot of damage on it (from my buddy who owns a body shop point of view)....the reason they estimated the damage to be so high, is because they took into consideration that you would cut off th whole or majority of the roof, as well as replace pretty much the whole front end, and put lots of "misc" things on there that they didnt even want to look for.....a decent body shop thats good at what they do would have that car looking like new for about 6k....still, its good that they totalled that thing, eventually keebler grew up and is driving a nice car now:laughing:

Actually if the RSX dies I don't know what I'll buy anymore. I decided I might want to spend every weekend repairing my car and buy an FD. Maybe an e36 M3. Maybe a GTO. I'd consider an S2000, but even though it's a great car I don't think I'd want something that delivers power the same as my current car- I like trying new things.

But I love my car and hope nothing happens to it. :love:

Some people care more about straight line speed than others, some people care more about a car's handling, some people care more about reliability, some people care more about looks, fuel economy, whatever. Just buy whatever damn car you want and enjoy it. There's always going to be a faster car on the road, no matter who you are. The SRT-4 is faster in a straight line, everybody knows this, numbers don't lie. Some RSXs can keep up with STOCK SRT-4s but only after mods, and that's nice if drag racing is your thing. And I'm sure with the same money the SRT-4 could have more mods and be much faster. A stock Mini Cooper can out handle an RSX. And the G35 coupe looks better than the RSX. Now can't we all just get along?
