The majority of this music can be found at Juno Records Download site and www.Beatport.com. Quiver(aka John Graham) has released a tremendous amount of music n the last 10 years. A great majority of his music can still be played anywhere.... like I said it's quality music and quality=classics.

Some other groups you may interested that is in the same league are the following groups:

Hybrid: They mostly produce Progressive Breaks. They are highly known for recording projects where they employ a full ochrestra. These guys are incredible and their work is a testament of how good electronic music can blow barririers away. Check out all their remixes at youtube.com. Believe it or not their remixes sound better than the originals produced by the artist. There most incredible tracks are Finished Symphony(99) & UnFinished Symphony(96)

Starecase: (Progressive Breaks, Progressive House, and Tech Trance).

Tilt: (up to 02) (Progressive Trance) These guys are one the reasons why trance made it big. All there music is well layered and organized with no induced cheesy riffs or clattered sounds. They also produce very dark tracks.

Minilogue: (up to 02). (Progressive House & Tech Trance) They mostly now produce Tech-House but if you can find all their remixes up to 2002 you wont be dissapointed.

Some of the best production is currently being done by Blue Room Project, Baroque Records,.....ect Hope this helps.

Personally, this shit is fucking bad asssssss(excuse the french)! It's a progressive breakbeat that is dark, elagant, beautifull, and so very hard. I have this on a very limited pressed vinyl 2x12. It was never officially released. I used to play this at some local clubs and people either loved it or hated but either way it gets a crowds attention and gets people dancing....shit is brilliant!

Absolutely! We are all entitled to our own opinion and I respect yours just as much as someone who would enjoy this remix. I have much respect for Hybrid bc for this particular remix bc they employeed live Ocherstration and spent hundreds of hours twicking high end syntheiszers(Acces-Virus, Nord-Lead, Korg-Karma,ect....) to create all the unique sounds you hear on this track. I guess I take for granted what most are unaware of the tremendous hardwork that goes into such a remix that most cant appreciate it in it's full scope. Either way, what sounds like garbage to you, from my point of view is a breakthrough of new soundscapes. If your not into electronic sounds(trance, house, ambient,.....) just remember that the majority of sounds you hear on this track have never existed until the production of this remix. It's literally new sounds that have been created just to produce this track. I guess it's just a techno thing.

Tiesto is about the only trance dj that i will actually go see, I'm more of a House guy, and spins mainly house, every here and there I 'll drop n a track or two that can flow with my house set. other then that.... Trance isn't really my genre of choice.

i went the last 2 years...
it is definitely fun but you want to find some smaller clubs/parties to go to because the actual Ultra rave is in the day and ends at midnight... and who the fuck is going to end their night in Miami @ midnight ya know?

the first year i went to a bunch of Drum and Bass shows along with the Ultra massive..

last year i got there early on in the week and hit up 2 clubs a night every night all the way through Monday... Saw Tiesto spin for 5 hours at Mansion after seeing him the night before playing at the massive...
I have seen Tiesto play 8 times within the past year, lulz.

it is always a great time but this year i am saving up for a trip to europe in the summer instead of the usual spring shenanigans.



have fun TegginIt, and stay safe. most of the people are the fun-lovin type but you always run into the Bum/idiot that may try and fuck with you or steal your shit...
never buy drugs from an untrustworthy person/stranger either (if you are into that shit).

drinking at the Ultra massive is a PITA. You need to buy drink tickets, THEN go wait in another line to get drinks and it IS NOT a full bar.

i went the last 2 years...
it is definitely fun but you want to find some smaller clubs/parties to go to because the actual Ultra rave is in the day and ends at midnight... and who the fuck is going to end their night in Miami @ midnight ya know?

the first year i went to a bunch of Drum and Bass shows along with the Ultra massive..

last year i got there early on in the week and hit up 2 clubs a night every night all the way through Monday... Saw Tiesto spin for 5 hours at Mansion after seeing him the night before playing at the massive...
I have seen Tiesto play 8 times within the past year, lulz.

it is always a great time but this year i am saving up for a trip to europe in the summer instead of the usual spring shenanigans.




have fun TegginIt, and stay safe. most of the people are the fun-lovin type but you always run into the Bum/idiot that may try and fuck with you or steal your shit...
never buy drugs from an untrustworthy person/stranger either (if you are into that shit).

drinking at the Ultra massive is a PITA. You need to buy drink tickets, THEN go wait in another line to get drinks and it IS NOT a full bar.
only vodka/rum/beer and shit... the massive is definitely geared towards the drug users.


sounds like fun. i have a few friends who moved up here to chicago from miami for work. they said Space and Mansion are the spots to be at. Ive been to orlando, never to miami.

i used to be into the rollin balls thing, now i dont do that. so who knows. i will prob drink before hand and shit or something. hit up hotspots afterhours definately.

How long have you been mixing? Do you generally mix your songs long(about 2-3 minutes) and adjust the eq settings of both tracks constantly to give a very smooth and sublte mix(from my point of view the hardest and most innovative way to mix)? The reason I'm aking is that generally progressive house & progressive breaks are relatively easy to mix but when you begin mixing in electro-anything to more mainstreamed trance it gets difficult. Either you BPM's dont match or it's difficult to mix harmonically. If you can do so, props to you.

Most innovative mixing I've heard live was a set a 6 hour set(club space Miami) where John Digweed stared started with tribal house to progressive house to progressive trance to progressive & nu-skol breaks to drum and bass(he was playing tracks similar to LT-J Bukem, Godie, and Roni-Size) to downtempo and ended with ambient. One of the best DJ's in existance.

His skills are only mathced by a few DJ's like SASHA(the king), Dave Seaman, Darren Emerson(even thou I generally dont like house, the man has skills), Jimmy Van M, Taylor, Nick Warren, James Ziable, ect...

I like Mixers with more than 3 EQ (bass, treble, mid). i feel confident that I can identify the sound wavelength and use the mixer to raise/lower the pitch&volume. Some of my older friends that are not professional DJ, but just fuck around, sometimes look at me weird when I use this method. One guy thought I didn't know what I was doing. In the end I feel I can make the music sound more magical with more EQ control. Sometimes they will walk over to see what I did. Tracks can sound vastly different through manipulation of the EQ.

As far as length, I am not good enough to mix 3 minutes. But I'm working on it:thumbsup:

Because... a lot of big dj's are spinning house into heir trance sets. Many Europeans hate on a state of trance because it is not all trance. I m not one of them so i ask you the above. I have trouble spinning certain house beats into trance sets. Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated

Have yet to hear Tiesto actually do any suberb mixing. Bassically, all of his CD's he starts mixing at the 1st or 32 beat(Always know when he is going to mix) and mixes in the song within a couple of seconds and swithes the bassline from one song to other and mixes out. Nothing special at all. I'm not saying the guy is bad when it comes to mixing but he is nowhere as good as the progressive, breakbeat, and drum n'bass DJ's. Now, when it comes to some of his production work this is a different story altogether.

I take it you like to mix with Allen & Heath mixers? Since there one of the few mixers that have more than 3 eq settings. I've never really tried 4-eq setting. Would you mind elaborating.

I been mixing for about 3-4 years now, when it comes to doing mash-ups, re-introducing the previous basslines, using accapella's, sampling, looping, as long as you understand what I mentioned earlier about knowing your 8, 16, 24, 32 bar, knowing your cue points, you can pretty much cut in and out here and there, sample any beats or parts of a previous track, and bassline, only thing that sucks is that I'm running a DJM-800 now, and it doesnt have the record/sample effect, so if you wanna sample a part of a track, gotta run 3 cdj's. It all pretty much boils down to understanding the way tracks are being structure and laid out and listening for that snare or pitch that signals the end of the bars. If you don't understand those key points, then you pretty much cant keep your set driving.

on another topic... where or how do you folks get your samples? i've been messing about with virtual dj and finally i'm starting to grasp maybe 1% of how to use this thing to make it do what I want it to do...

if i understand this right, there are 4 beats to a bar, right? but whats so significant about 8/16/32, etc bars? Are those blocks that have distinct change-overs to listen for? If so, how would I know which "bar" I'm on?

lol whatever that is 100% truth it's just something that shouldn't be said out in the open. You never heard about famous radio DJ's that play other peoples music but people sure do give a lot of credit to DJ's at a club that do the exact same shit. The producers of the music is where the credit should be given but that's just my opinion the produces needs these people to play their shit and if this guy continues to produce great shit it will be played regardless of what truths he says out in the open.

Only about a year and a half, not steadily. I don't have equipment at my house. I always practice on my friends stuff.
I learned on cdj's then added vinyls to the mix only a few times. i'm not a vinyl pro at all or either. But i wish i could afford to, and be able to, hook up a recording mixer to the cdj's so I can have massive eq control.
