I've been wanting to actually do this for over a year now. In the meantime, I've been getting my fix by using VirtualDJ and Ableton Live.

I just don't want to shell out over $2,000+ on something that could merely just be a hobby... I've got a ps3 which cost significantly less lol... and it doesn't help the equipment costs an arm and a leg in canada.

Ya it isnt cheap, my setup cost me over 2gs. It isnt easy to spin music either. I been doing it for 2 years now and am just starting to get it. It takes time to train your ear and learn what the hell you are actually doing. Some people either want to do it or they dont. Its so fun though. There are ways to get into it for less money thought. I have my old cd players for sale for 350 bucks, they are still like new and are very good to get started on.

Ya it isnt cheap, my setup cost me over 2gs. It isnt easy to spin music either. I been doing it for 2 years now and am just starting to get it. It takes time to train your ear and learn what the hell you are actually doing. Some people either want to do it or they dont. Its so fun though. There are ways to get into it for less money thought. I have my old cd players for sale for 350 bucks, they are still like new and are very good to get started on.

Just found out Ferry Corsten in coming to Houston on April 3rd can't wait for that and also Tiesto will be in Austin on April 23rd so I will be heading to these 2 events looks like April will be a good month for me. :D

Nice nice man. This is my second year DJing so I'm still trying to make a name for myself where I live. I've gotten the opportunity to open for Global Deejay's in November and DJ Heavygrinder last summer. I've played the same night as Vandalism, Kyau & Albert, Matt Dekay, and Sean Tyas.

In September of this year finally Texas will have a electronic music festival somewhat similar to UMF and EDC and as of right now no artist have been announced but I am crossing my fingers for Daft Punk as one of them. :pray:

This years EDC in Socal will be big as shit. Two day event with TWO main stages both nights. The USC collesium being the main attraction. Last year saw about 50,000 people on friday and 90,000 on saturday. This year is suppose to be bigger :run:
