help with blackout lights

hey i was wondering how do you get the lens to fit flush with the housing again. I have a small gap on the large side and i push as hard as i can and couldn't get it back to being flush with the housing. So when i reinstalled it it was not smooth with the fender. Is there a easy way to get it to fit more flush?

I had help from two people using hair dryers to soften the glue while i pushed the housing back together. Another way is to put the entire housing into the oven (preheat it to 200 F) for 15 min and then do it.

ya i did that but i couldnt get it all the way back well i installed it anyways and its not that bad but there is a small gap underneath the headlights that is kinda of annoying
