Acumen 8000k HIDS
install was pretty easy, just time consuming pulling the bumper and housing. Anywho here are the pics I took.

shouldnt 8000K look a lot more purple/violet. I have a 6000K kit and it looks a lot purple than that. In the pictures it looks more like a 5000K kit. But anyway, nice HIDs.

Ill post some pics later tonight of the BMW and Porsche HIDS here @ the house. You know your BMW's, most people dont catch the "l" part, just think its a 740i.
Anywho, pics will be up later

The passenger ballast is up by the strut bar, in the free space. The driver side is currently sitting on top of the battery tie. Ill snap a pic tonight, but Im gonna prolly re route the driver ballast so it looks more presentable at a show.

Those are the types of lights that the DOT wants to ban. Those are giving HID's a bar wrap. I know they may look good, but 8000k is useless. Doesn't help you see anymore than a halogen. Less than 2000 lumens.
Well, we are trying to fight the legislation against HID's, just informing you that your headlights aren't helping the situation.

Wasnt DOT also trying to ban the ever so popular blue bulbs that every 16 year old F&F fan has ? Nothings been done and I feel those are worse off then these could be. Colored bulbs reduce the line of sight making it tougher to see at night.
I did read the write up on "why some HIDs are bad" and that. The legislature is fighting because there are to many people with the kit, but the line of sight on the lights isnt set. The lights are fine if you take the time to adjust the beam pattern where it is focused at the ground, not the car in front of you's rear window.
To each their own, but i dont see anything wrong in my lights. The beams set, the lights dont see to be pissing any drivers off (some cases people claim they get flashed for having brights on)

They look nice but I think your stockies are actually brighter than the new HIDs though.

Who knows, may just be the angle. On the road though, the vision is alot clearer. The lights just give a brighter apperance on the road. Anywho, i havent felt as good about a mod in awhile, but with this one Im def. pleased how it turned out.
