I've just picked up a Recaro Speed to replace the SR.
I though both were exactly the same seats apart from the names.

It turns out that SR designed for the JDM is actually shorter than Speed.
I know it's not an amazing discovery but thought I just like to share it with you. lol :p

Most probably due to the fact that an average Japanese guy is shorter than a western guy. :dontknow:

i gotta say that i have jdm dc5r recaros and with them in my car i do sit lower than the stock type s seats. how do i know this is because with the stocks i rest my arm out the drivers window and its perfectly aligned. with the dc5r's my arm is angled upward as if im way lower, concluding the dc5r seats are much lower. :blah:

However compared to stock EP3R seats and JDM Recaros, hell I was sitting nearly 4inches lower :eek: mainly due to the Bride RO Type seat rails.

is that your daily driver? how is it using the race bucket everyday?

I'm used to it now. I wouldn't say it's very comfortable as I do get a slighly sore ass after very long journeys but it's not that bad. :laughing:
It really does make a difference for trackdays and gives me more confidence to attack corners at higher speed. :spin:
