: Quick help on ITR rear seat install
Frozt 07-27-2005, 12:22 PM It's been so long since I've had a rear seat, so I might be doing it all wrong, but does the ITR rear seat use the same mounting hardware as the OEM leathers from a type s? I can't seem to get the brackets to line up properly, and I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
jeffbatt 07-27-2005, 12:46 PM Yeah, they should fit exactly the same.
Are you having trouble with the folding seat backs, or the seat pan part (the long, flat part you sit on)?

the folding parts. I can't seem to get the brackets to line up with that little thing in the middle properly. i'm sure i'm doing somethign retarded. I started putting them in the moment that I woke up. So I might not be thinking clearly,.
melo_1981 07-27-2005, 01:08 PM should line up man ... i did mine a couple of weekends ago ... used the same hardware. good luck.
Frozt 07-27-2005, 01:22 PM Like I expected, it was too early for me to be thinking. I just went out again and did it in 5 minutes. Had the brackets reversed which made the seat sit too far away. It's all good now.
Frozt 07-27-2005, 01:22 PM Thanks everyone for the posts. I should wait until all the cobwebs are out of my head before attempting anything :p
melo_1981 07-27-2005, 01:24 PM glad it worked out for ya man :)

10 to 11 lbs, a far cry from the super heavy stockers.

why a cf hood, what will happen to ur gundam head? hehe
Frozt 07-31-2005, 07:24 PM They are actually very comfortable too, if you dont have a problem with sitting properly, as in a straight back. Mo hated them the whole ride back from chicago after picking them up. Bitched about having to sit like a white person, lol, so as you can see in the pic, when I mounted his seat, i mounted it at a lean.

That was done under a paint sponsorship for Hot import nights. The car is being built for road race now, and I'm working for another full paint sponsorship. The CF hood will reduce weight and the mugen type was chosen for the placement of the vents which will help to bring cool air to my turbo.

"his seat".. aww lol
10-11 lbs that's just insane. i'd probably have an issue with them too cuz i sit far back in my seat. it's the only way i can reach the pedals without sitting with my boobs resting on the steering wheel, lol.

yeah, i didn't install sliders on the passenger seat, only on mine since I'm shorter. Passenger is on floor mount rails without a slider.
Frozt 07-31-2005, 07:29 PM very nice.

Thats the OEM anodized RSX knob. I'm getting rid of it in leui of a sparco globe knob whenever I order my sparco harnesses. Since I kinda spur of the moment decided to do the full itr swap, I have to get rid of that, my headunit and my spark plug cover and thats it.

Frozt 07-31-2005, 07:30 PM mats are dirty and I haven't had a chance to shampoo them yet.

ah yes, same as mine. all honda shit knobs are pretty much the same, haha. mine's the dark silver one though. :)

yeah, the sparco globe knob is countersunk, so it sits super low, which will be nice. Mo has a black version of it in his ride right now.

Frozt 07-31-2005, 08:16 PM Not bad, is that a sort of custom one. It kind of appears to have been made on an amateur lathe or something. I'm not knocking it, its nice, just looks like a custom piece.
Frenchy 07-31-2005, 08:19 PM it's made for the S2000.
Quite a few ppl have it already on crsx.

I was also considering the globe when I was looking for a knob. Went with the Team Voodoo afterall.

Thanks, I'm trying to pull it all together finally. I've still got over 4k worth of parts sitting in my basement awaiting time for me to get it all installed, not to mention stuff still in the mail.
Anti-Lyfe 08-04-2005, 06:56 PM Frozt i highly recomend the Skunk2 Billet alluminum one.. it sits really low with the honda shift boot adapter, and nice seats! I guess now you can guarentee no one will sit in the back seat anymore since they cant move the front passenger seat! I need that! anyways, with the new railings, how much lower do your seats sit from stock?
im 6'4'' and if i autocross im gonna have to stick my helmet out of the sunroof:(

Actually, I ran without rear seats for the longest time. I had more than 2 people in my car anyways.
I am probably going to go with the sparco globe though, I'm not a big skunk fan, it would either be the sparco or the alex Ti one.
