Finally got my Siebon MG carbon fiber hood in. Totally changes the look of the car, and I was finally able to ditch the hood that was painted for HIN. I'm waiting to get the sides of the hood body matched right now, and it's probably in my best interest to put some hood pins in it. Anyways, here are the pics. These were just quick ones after install last weekend. I'll be cleaning up the car and doing a full photoshoot since I've done so much work to it over the last month or so.

VERY nice man.

I'd stay away from hood pins but i can understand if you want them for peace of mind. Not to mention... along with Chris, is it really vented? :D

Yes it is really vented. I chose it for that reason, because the rear vent sits right above the turbo. I want hood pins because the car isn't a daily driver, but a track car, so highspeeds can be common.

thanks on the body matched lamps. It will flow much better when the sides of the hood are body matched to flow into the lamps.

The latch seems pretty strong. Siebon did an awesome job on the quality. I didn't expect this nice. Granted the latch "seems" strong. I dont want the fucker tearing out and my hood flying off at a high speed.

Depending on how shithoused I get at our party we throw this friday night, I plan to begin the install of the millions of other parts I have lying around, namely the turbo and everything else. It's been hard to find time. If I dont start the turbo this week, then I'll at least get my S-techs installed.

I need to lower my hood latch a bit. I had to raise it when I ran a shitty wings west CF hood, but thats another story about shitty quality and bad molds. If I lower the hood latch back to the stock placement, I'm sure it will be more stable. I'm goign to do that this weekend when I take off my front bumper

hood pins only keep the hood held in place for extra safety at high speeds. Depending on what manufacturer you get a CF hood from, you may have issues.

Like I said, siebon hoods are very well made from the likes of this one, and are very compatible from latch standpoint.

The wings west hood that I had a long time ago, was a piece of shit, the latch didn't line up properply and the hook on the hood was soddy at best, so hood pins were REQUIRED. It all depends on the quality of the hood.

In fact, the hood is really from Shift Sports, but Buddy Club uses it on their car.
that's also why it's not listed on their website.
