JDMOTO 09-03-2007, 10:29 PM Well, after this weekend i can finally say that Ive shot a wedding all by myself. god damn it was so stressful, but yet so exciting. I'd like to thank Liang for helping me out with some tips and pointers.

AcuraLegend 09-03-2007, 10:33 PM i'm not sure everyone in that picture is going to be happy with their expression, and the back two people aren't really in focus
BUT
the bride looks awesome, and it's definitely a cool shot. nice pp
JDMOTO 09-03-2007, 10:39 PM ya the expression on some of the brides maid were off, lol. oh wells But the bride pose is what i was looking for.

The act of editing/manipulating/enhancing a shot AFTER it had already been taken. (Technically Photoshop would have been a correct answer, but not 100% accurate)
dc5ivtec 09-04-2007, 01:20 PM Good stuff Jon. I think its crazy you took up the time to set up the strobes. Most wedding photogs only do on camera stuff because of time constraints. The shots look great though, so I think it paid off.

This post might come off as a assholeish reply, but it's not meant to be.
Don't just jump into wedding photography. There is a lot behind it that someone who's less experienced might not know about, and someone's future is riding on your success.

yeaa man like Eric said.. wedding photography is the most stressful, painstaking, high-risk type out there.. the pay is the best but it doesn't come without its own price..
people ask me all the time to shoot weddings and i say hellll noooo.. because even though the pay is great.. the amount of pressure and time constraints at a wedding are horrible..
after talking to Jon, whose been shooting for awhile and knows his stuff, he said that it was absolutely nuts doin it by himself but he learned a lot.. so remember its not as easy as it may seem.. not in the least..

Weddings are stressful but fun once you get them down! I shoot weddings and know the ins-and-outs, but still have a lot to learn!

what are you talking about about? that was a easy as eating a cake... hahaha j/k Naw actually it was stressful, until shooting the portraits, then i got a big ego boost cause it was more along my lines.
As for the strobes it was actually really easy to setup. I had the grooms men hold the strobes so it was mad portable, hahaha. ;)
I have to say it was very intense just how everything was go go go.. I didn't have time to really slow down... by 7pm I need a 6 pack of redbull to keep me going, lol.
vanbells 09-04-2007, 05:07 PM Very impressive!!!
andyyrsx 09-04-2007, 06:39 PM good shots not sure i like how strong the shadows are in the first pic with the furthest 2 bridemaids on the left
