kwork 09-05-2007, 09:41 AM nice pics dude
how does the level horizon work? I never seem to get my horizons straight..
Nikon NX or Nikon Capture 4 both have a straighten function.
Works for horizontal or vertical. Just click the straighten button then click one side of your horizon line then stretch it across to the other end of your horizon. (or along the edge of a vertical line.
It will also recrop at the same time to eliminate anything that wouldn't fit in a rectangle when you rotate it.

DesertSilverRSX-S 09-05-2007, 10:07 AM thats a great location and I've seen many great shots from there. It just sucks in your case that a lot of the lights were out on the pier. Other than that, the pictures look great
kwork 09-05-2007, 10:21 AM It's amazing how fast the sun sets.In a period of 10 minutes, it went from just above the horizon to GONE.
I walked out on the beach from the parking lot with just my 12-24 and tripod and immediately wished I had brought another lens to get more of the sun in the pic. No time to go back to the car so I had to make do with what I brought.

I kinda like the reflections of the lights though. Would've took more pics but there were sooo many people still out (Labor Day weekend) that I was getting frustrated by people walking across in front of me.
Might go back again at Thanksgiving.
Danger Mouse 09-05-2007, 10:34 AM I like number 4 the most. The reflection and color of the water is awesome.
DB8Integra 09-05-2007, 01:59 PM I love 1. and 4. GREAT PICS! +1
M powered 09-05-2007, 04:40 PM Beautiful shots mang.
Whats with the small photos? You think keeping it small will hide the dust spots on your sensor? :rotfl:
sircrowley 09-05-2007, 08:14 PM great exposures. i like the long one specially
